within the power point document OR on the agenda that was sent out you can click on a link with detailed descriptions of each role in the new structure diagram
Masemo Wakibogo
02:29:56
Thank you Becky for providing the link that has all information
James Wenger
02:55:27
I would like to join the structure meeting
Preston Hofer
02:56:27
Becky you can move me to finance
Josh Patterson
03:20:57
I love the structure, but agree with the words being used are rough. Tim acknowledged removing words like executive, but then this structure uses words like chair and director, which is hilarious. We should keep the pastoral terms, I agree.
Sandeep Thomas
03:21:36
I agree that terms like Conference Minister are rich and biblical and we should keep that
Josh Patterson
03:22:10
I was going to add exactly what Kurt is sharing now
Josh Patterson
03:22:50
all of these terms are derived from culture regardless of historical culture or current
Brent Green
03:23:24
We can still be the church and use some wording that the people outside the church can understand, relate to, and be drawn to
Jeff Selzer
03:26:10
I don't have a pop up
Greensburg Mennonite
03:26:28

Separate devices are not available to us. We have 3 NO votes.
Josh Patterson
03:34:54
that’s awesome!
Brent Green
03:42:51
Much better - less feedback!
Shana Peachey Boshart MCUSA
03:55:13
I understand the connection to mission in this endeavor, and therefore the “missional” language being used in connection to the “discovery” process. But let’s also be clear that this is a question of church unity and be honest about that.
Sandeep Thomas
03:57:42
I think to address Josh's question there are two directions to it, what the Conference will do to those who are in the minority and what the minority will do in relationship to the Conference.
Sandeep Thomas
03:58:27
It might be helpful to lift the ground rules to make it safe for everyone to participate
Clayton Gladish
03:59:34
That is a good point Shana. Thanks for offering your thoughts
Jess Engle
03:59:45
What does a yes vote mean?
Josh Patterson
04:00:09
not seeing the voting
Josh Patterson
04:00:22
Nevermind
Maria E Bennett
04:01:02
Amen! Blessings everyone!
Cathy Wagler
04:01:06
I believe that when we look at the 3 questions that were proposed, we find that the third, is ‘what is next?’, which may help with how we bless and allow those who disagree with the majority to be able to move forward in whatever affiliation would result.
Kurt Horst
04:04:49
I think I said "Nuevo Amanecer" is New Beginnings - Better translation is "New Dawning."
Abraham Arenas
04:05:21
👌🏽
Josh Patterson
04:09:52
so they affirmed the process, and still asked to motion a leave?
Beau Froese
04:13:33
Are members of Bethel allowed to second?
Jess Engle
04:14:10
What?? Are we voting to leave MCUSA? Now? During a Pandemic?
Clayton Gladish
04:23:38
Are we going to revisit what Masemo was saying? I am not sure he had a chance to finish and clarify.
Maria E Bennett
04:23:38
Amen!
Kurt Horst
04:23:59
The Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective: Article 16 says, "In a process of discernment, it is better to wait patiently for a word from the Lord leading toward consensus, than to make hasty decisions." I believe we are being faithful to this in our confession.
Cathy Wagler
04:24:24
I agree Kurt, thanks
