Anything indoors with poor ventilation and for long durations is unwise until contact tracing is available. I’ve seen too many people shopping at the grocery store wearing N95s with visible gaps around their face to believe that PPEs are sufficient controls.

Highly concentrated populations including workplaces and nursing homes have experienced highest amount of cases. much of the shelter in place orders have been imposed on the wrong populations.

I really reject my friends (on “all sides”) who suggest making masks that reflect their politics. Caring about not infecting people we don’t know accidentally because we are carriers but don’t realize it yet really should be non partisan.

Agree, wearing a mask should be a on-partisan issue. It’s about being considerate of others and not wanting to infect others inadvertently.

We can't ask grocery store staff to police who is wearing a mask but 50% don't as I see it. Most are young.

@Lud personally I feel that I’d like to wait to get the virus til after it is better understood and there are consistent, scientifically reliable protocols in place for treatment.

Our business (a winery) requires guests to wear masks when not seated at their table. Interesting industry learning: guests are selecting where to go based on whether masks are required or not. We had a lot of feedback during week 1 that guests LEFT places where they did not feel safe — so we feel good about our decision, even if it costs us business.

So...….Wouldn't a Rep. Encorepreneur make more money marketing BIDEN masks....?

What about the ambiguous news of a mutation of Covid-19? Is this real? If so, potential implications?

Montana opened some schools last week with social distancing so we can learn from them as well as Sweden, Austria and Germany who have all opened their K-12 schools

Virginia can learn from other areas, countries, etc. but only to the extent in which they isolated during the past months. Some States were more open than others. Learning from those that were more strict will not necessarily help us in our area. We have not observed as strict of a stay at home order as other areas. Given that, we may not have as favorable results when opening back up as those other areas who observed a much more strict order.

I wonder, since half of our cases were in prisons and nursing homes, if it was worth it to destroy our small businesses and those families. My vote, as an older person, is no.
