Hi Sam! Welcome. Thanks for joining us today.

Hi everyone, Adam from Bridgestone in Nebraska
Aaron
32:32
If you received the PPP doesn't the $10k emergency advance come off the PPP forgiveness amount or did that change with the PPP changes
Clarence Cox
32:40
Hello from Georgia Coach Lines
Tracy Fickett BUSBooks
33:02
HI Adam Hall
P. Pat Paulsen
33:10
@Aaron - EIDL advance comes off the PPP forgiveness - have to give it back.
wayne
33:19
hello Wayne from Agape
Rob
35:10
They take the advance off the EIDL total, not PPP loan...
ginny
35:42
so if they are combining thePPP and EIDL advance, how does that affect the 60-40 ratio?
P. Pat Paulsen
36:21
@rob. EIDL advance reduces the amount of PPP forgiveness.
United Motorcoach Association
38:11
The link for the toolkit will be on the final slide today!
Rob
39:32
They are 2 separate loans. So, how does that work? This is the 1st Ive heard. What I was told by SBA is the $10,000 comes off the total amount of the loan you are given in the EIDL. So if u got 10K advance, then u can only get 140K. Some people who got the 10K advance didn't take a PPP loan...doesn't make sense...
ginny
40:05
agreed, Rob, hence the confusion (again)
Rob
40:42
My accountant doesn't think this is true. They are 2 separate loans and aren't combined in any way
P. Pat Paulsen
40:44
@rob - the reference to the EIDL advance is on the PPP forgiveness application. Reduces PPP forgiveness
Rob
41:05
Must be something new. Never saw it
P. Pat Paulsen
41:22
check out PPP forgiveness application.
ginny
41:26
my CPA said the same thing--2 separate programs
Rob
42:02
I used my PPP 100% for payroll, so the 10K won't matter if it is the case.
ginny
42:10
PPP forgiveness application asks about EIDL advance but doesn't really address it or how it is considered or the impact to either program
Barry Lewis
42:13
DId Ken Presley cover where the industry is on the ABA ask for $10 billion in grants and $5 billion in loan funding or was that skipped?
Rob
42:33
skipped

am I understanding that the purpose of this social media post(s) is to push the messages to congress?
Barry Lewis
44:25
and business outcomes. ABA shared the AAA summer outcomes today and the estimate is 83% loss in business revenue. Talking to clients and they are advising that they are running out of PPP by July 31st

What's the best time of day to make sure social posts get the most organic views?
Barry Lewis
45:36
Larry - this is the #1 and #2 issue that should be addressed. Who is the Congressional author and sponsors of the ABA Amendment language?
Brad
46:03
WHERE CAN WE GET THE SOCIAL MEDIA TOOLKIT?
kpresley@uma.org Presley
46:17
The loan advance will not have to be repaid. Recipients do not have to be approved for a loan in order to receive the advance, but the amount of the loan advance will be deducted from total loan eligibility
United Motorcoach Association
46:58
The final slide today has the link on the UMA site!
Paige Balsinger
47:14
Is the P4 bill going to have a forgiveness clause like the original PPP? Or will it stay a loan if approved?
larrykillingsworth
47:25
Ginny—Yes, but also to build your business!
Rob
47:41
We really need to discuss what we are supposed to do if we come upon a "peaceful riot" and the crowd starts attacking the bus. It has happened already so how do we get out of that situation without running people over and at the same time, not getting hurt/killed and protecting the passengers?
ginny
48:25
doesn't answer the question of why they ask about the advance (and amount) on the PPP forgiveness application or how (or where ) the advance may or must be used
larrykillingsworth
49:17
Barry—way more to the Congressional outreach. Happy to go deeper with you. Just email me.
Barry Lewis
49:50
Larry - the only outreach with Congress that should matter to you is the funding piece.
Barry Lewis
50:22
We all are trying to ensure that the funding is in place so that no more companies either go under or have to face playoffs
Rob
51:07
I agree with barry. the main thing most all of us are up against is funding from Congress. All the other info is fine, but if companies can't survive this, it is pointless
ginny
52:19
SBA last week said to "please be patient" told her it has been 90+ days,...how much more patient can I be?
Barry Lewis
52:37
agreed Rob - I have seen and heard more than enough that the funding related to COVID-19 response and loss of operations is only going to mitigate the clear loss of consumer confidence that has to be regained and with all due respect - social media awareness has been in place in terms of marketing strategy for quite some time
Alan Thrasher
52:54
Tag your congressmen so we can encourage the funding. using your FB is free
United Motorcoach Association
53:05
Right, Alan!
Rob
54:22
Ginny, I got my Senator involved from Ohio. He got w SBA. I have since gotten responses and sent them 2 pieces of paperwork they said they didn't get. So now i am waiting. My state Senator got me in contact w my regional SBA person, who in turn got someone from SBA to call me.
Rob
56:01
I can advertise all i want. But that costs money. I use social media. We need an answer from Congress. this needs to be a PRIORITY!!
ginny
56:20
Glad you made some progress, Rob. I emailed, and called and sent in stuff and all i get is send in stuff....then wait....

Barry Lewis
57:16
Ken Presley - is there a Congressional author and any sponsors to the ABA Amednement?
Kumar Shah
57:19
Larry - per our conversation we have less than 3 weeks to secure the Covid-19 relief funding for our industry. We can't wait another day / week for an update on our effort to secure the funding. Where are we? What is the next step? When do we expect confirmation of the funding? This is uppermost on everyone's minds. We can tackle social media and other topics later.
Rob
57:27
Agree barry. We need to stay on Congress. There has to be someone in their face every day.
Suzanne Thornburg
57:56
Sam--Can you address the main differences in the audiences reached based on the type of platform and posts? Also, what pertinent content should be included to fully and successfully address targeted and generational audience differences?

Jeff - Amaya Seating
58:46
2 of my BANY members applied for SBA within the last 2 weeks and have received funding. Both have exhausted their PPP.
larrykillingsworth
59:18
Good news Jeff.
José Gómez
59:54
hoot suite. is that good ????
Rob
01:00:59
If you applied for SBA clear back when the max was $2 million and they have dragged their feet getting it done, my opinion is u should get more than the 150K max.
Sam Kimball
01:01:33
Hootsuite is very popular and many people like it. It’s a good starter social media manager to allow companies to manage multiple pages among multiple people. Not everyone likes the layout, though!
United Motorcoach Association
01:01:40
Jose, Yes. Hootsuite is good. It's a great way to post on several platforms at once. Makes it much easier to cover your bases.
Rob
01:01:44
Why can't they reallocatre funds from the airlines to us?
ginny
01:01:45
so colleges got millions in EIDL and small businesses are still waiting
wayne
01:01:59
but that doesn’t matter unfortunately they capped it
Ric Banister

Barry Lewis
01:03:42
Transit received grant funding
Barry Lewis
01:03:53
$25 billion worth
P. Pat Paulsen
01:04:06
P4 is our best shot for next funding.
Sam Kimball
01:04:17
Suzanne, to address your question about content - that question is a really great place to start from. I would choose one or two audiences to focus on to get started. You can look to publications and associations (other social media accounts even) that serve those audiences for inspiration for content.
Kumar Shah
01:04:19
Ken - not true. The airlines got $25B grant to fund payroll + $25B loan. Yes, they have to repay 30% of the $25B grant.

if the money never gets to us the programs are ineffective!
Rob
01:04:37
I would be fine with 70/30. The airlines got PPP loans on top of money from bailout, didn't they?
Kumar Shah
01:04:59
Is our funding proposal tied to any other industry / association?
Suzanne Thornburg
01:05:11
Thank you Sam. I appreciate it.

I am so surprised we seem to be at a loss as to how to clean buses. Didn't we clean them prior to all this? Soap and water, 10% chlorine solution and many other normal cleaning procedures takes care of all of this. Pretty soon I am going to have stickers and notices all over the coach!
Doug Woodie
01:13:31
I would like to see Motorcoach OEMs provide solid information to the operators about the air exchange rates onboard our coaches. The airlines have done a good job with this describing this on their social media pages with great visuals.

Air exchange rates are 30 to 60 times an hour. I do not have a breakdown on the different manufacturers but our Temsa vehicles are within that range. Just a note that the Motorcoaches exchange considerably more air than the aircraft do.
