Monica Ma Hurtado (she,her) VRJ
19:04
Monica Maria Hurtado Voices for Racial Justice. Best memory, December 7th 2018 when we had the quarterly meeting at the library and presented the plan with recommendations from the C-creators Table :)
Wayne Ducheneaux
19:36
Favorite memory: Getting to know a lot of people who exemplified strength and fortitude working on what I think will go down as the most difficult and least conventional Census in modern history.
Carrie Davis
20:06
Hi everyone! Carrie Davis with the Joyce Foundation, cheering you on from Chicago. Huge congratulations on the amazing work of MCMP!!!
Monica Ma Hurtado (she,her) VRJ
20:43
Hello all!!! Sooo happy to see you all! :)
Vic Rosenthal
20:51
Vic Rosenthal, Association of Elder CCC’s; press conference at the Capitol for apartment access
joan naymark
20:57
Joan Naymark, MACS 2020. State Fair Census Day, and bringing so many from MCMP to congressional office meetings to advocate for census support.
David Wakely
21:20
David Wakely with the State Demographic Center. Favorite memory: watching Census Hero costumes popping up on statues across the state.
Niel Ritchie
21:27
Niel Ritchie, Main Street Project. Congressional Meetings were always great.
Nate Dorr - NMF
22:28
Nate Dorr, VP for Advocacy at NW MN Foundation in Bemidji. Favorite Census moment was to hear from Sec. Steve Simon, having that direct connect was good to be grounded in reality
Nick H. (he/him)
22:28
Nick Harper, Civic Engagement Director with League of Women Voters MN
Paul Huffman
22:30
Paul Huffman - LWV MN; Favorite memory was with Joan Naymark responding to a June 2020 request from the Kingsfield neighborhood group in Minneapolis for support on 2020 Census outreach at their community festival. Despite all of the challenges and turmoil, this was an incredibly rewarding experience.
joan naymark
23:28
Paul -- agree! During covid and protests, that was quite a moment.
Nate Dorr - NMF
24:09
Wait, maybe that (sec. Steve Simon) was a different group, good to hear MN had the top Census response rates
Marcia Avner
26:33
Marcia Avner - Partnership - favorite moments include celebrating the decision ruling out the citizenship question and, more than anything, our meetings over time in person (I miss the Roseville library and the Dunn Bros there) with the rich and productive information and dialogue. Shelly and Monica and Jackie and so many others have made me rejoice ad cry with the stories of their creative work and splendid pivots to carry this on in the pandemic.

I love all of these comments about two years ago and how census would be boring. Ha! Welcome.... and let's keep it up. I love learning from all of you about organizing and connections -- relationship building. Inspiring, indeed.

I have to pop off, but thanks for putting this on and for everyone's coordination throughout. It was awesome to be part of this alongside the MCMP, State Demographer's Office and everyone else. Special thanks to Andrew! My favorite memory was packing people in at CAPI for one of our Census coalition meetings. We were worried about being over capacity for fire code - unthinkable now in the age of social distancing!
Katina Mortensen

You all can be proud of the amazing work you did even under this challenging COVID-19 pandemic and take a big break until 2030 cycle again. Congratulations to you all and have a wonderful and safe holiday. Chao R. Lee, Office of Congresswoman Betty McCollum.

I tend to talk too much so I'll just write for my piece. Just wanting to say how truly humbling it was to be a part of this movement in Minnesota. Proud of the work the Tribes did in this Census with such great support from all of the other stakeholders. I agree with the comment earlier that this effort was a shining star in the work of Census mobilization. Wopila tanka (with great thanks) from Native Governance Center!
