What digital collaboration tools (brainstorming, sketching, critiquing) have teams found most successful?
miranda.degg
39:38
(for Gabe) could you talk a bit more about the challenges/benefits of using VR?
Kevin Gilboe
40:11
Re. collaboration tools, some of us are using Miro
David Nett
41:41
“Mural” is also excellent for virtual brainstorming activities
Katie Kelly
41:52
We’re leveraging Mural for design research synthesis, collaboration, and co-creation
Emily Siira
42:06
Miro is great for brainstorming / collaborating remotely. Our design team at GE Healthcare uses this
Katie Kelly
42:51
Zoom has a great breakout feature that we use to ideate in smaller groups
Lauren Dern - IDSA Northern Lakes
43:44
We've had some great success with Miro, I
Lauren Dern - IDSA Northern Lakes
44:06
I'll have to check out Mural!
akachar
44:47
Milwaukee Tool has been using Mural... will check out Miro! thanks
Joseph Burge
45:15
We’ve used Miro, also just started using MS Teams… seems to be better so far than Skype for meetings anyway
Lauren Dern - IDSA Northern Lakes
45:41
I'd be nice to forget some of those things - I envy Tony!
johncaruso
46:03
I love the back of tonys studio
Kevin Gilboe
46:25
It’s real too - not a background image. :)
akachar
46:39
HI Joe! Yes, Teams has definitely seemed to work better than Skype, especially for larger groups
Leslie Speer
46:47
Miro used to be called “Real Time Board”. Not sure if it was a buyout or name change. Heard great things about MS Teams.
Alanna Widder
47:17
To those using MS Teams, has anyone used the "channels" to do breakout sessions during a meeting?
akachar
47:49
nope... how are the "channels" used?
Joseph Burge
50:14
Have not used channels yet. Looking forward to checking out some of those features though.
keith dandridge
50:33
The Concept Team at Briggs & Stratton has been using Miro since it was Real Time Board. To anyone that has switched to Mural, how have you handled transferring all that board data?
johncaruso
51:01
Really appreciate the insight and experience of guys like Joe....truly seasoned experienced insight!!! Wow really valuable lessons on design life !! Need more people like this !!!!on webinars
David Nett
52:30
data can be moved around in mural simply, also exported and used in adobe suite
Leslie Speer
52:46
If Tony had to pick 10 items to have in his “shop”, what would they be?
Pratham
58:30
5:30am here in India
Hans Nielsen
58:59
So cool to hear about remote teams getting closer and stronger through this.
Lauren Dern - IDSA Northern Lakes

01:04:39
In reference to remaining flexible and becoming more horizontal in team structures- how would one address hierarchy concerns and individuals responsibilities?
Van Heyer
01:05:32
For Kevin and Katie, in terms of future remote onboarding how do you see this process becoming easier. Is there a future where people are delivered onboarding kits when they are hired that gets them up and running? how is this going to change?
Joseph Burge
01:06:25
Curious what workarounds for in person ethnographic research and in-person prototype validation people have been using?
Kevin Gilboe
01:08:41
Re. Onboarding we’re doing the “kit” approach right now! Our 2020 interns are all remote - first time we’ve tried it.
akachar
01:10:11
I second Joe's question around in-person prototype validation
