Embracing the Journey - Shared screen with speaker view
Hello from Seattle
Hello from Salem, Oregon
Soul Force Politics: https://www.soulforcepolitics.org/
Thank you, Stuart.
Me too. I also came out of silent retreat March 15th.
It seems that people are grieving for something deeper, actually...with or without awareness.
The heart of addiction, stuff, doing, distractions!
It’s a fabulous story <3
A good story needs repeating.
That’s a grackle….
Absolutely a beautiful bird, no doubt.
Beautiful!! Can you share that so we may read it and share it with others?
Heather, Is there a way we could have a copy of that conversation, so that we can keep it up front and center in our hearts and mind?
That was beautiful thank you
No words…thank you
Thank you that was beautiful!
So touching and beautiful! Thank you Heather. It is a wonderful reminder.
Thank you, that resonated so deeply
... likewise ...
I am feeling the love of the earth and the trees lately. It is a powerful energy as I am able to feel it with less other people around.
Thank you Heather for crystallizing this!
thank you for letter to Mother Earth
Your Grandmother was probably pleased to be able to make you hot cereal one last time
Exactly, Steph Kent!
And trans people for the myriad of roles they play in this work
I believe all people regardless of gender might bring forward their inner femininity
Agreed! It’s about receptive and active energy regardless of gender identity. :)
I definitely think it's important to consider the roles that queer/trans/non-binary/two spirit folks have in bringing balance
Women can also promote toxic masculinity as well unfortunately
I came to this meeting tonight with my heart heavy because of the rate of deaths in nursinghomes. Mainstream white society is not caring for our own mothers and grndmothers, but turning them over to corporate nursing homes! How can people love mother earth when we don't love our human mothers?
My mother embodied toxic masculinity and it affected us children profoundly.
the model of marketing and patriarchy is to feed on our fears
this deprivation model reproduces in every field. We need a net that is fine enough to identify the way the patriarch and power disenfranchise us from our self...cannot dis men but the yang masculinity unhinged from feminine receptivity
Suzanne, this is an incredibly heartbreaking reality right now. But I would not underestimate the loving maternal energy and care that nurses, CNA’s and health care providers are giving to patients right now and connecting them to family as they can, through video or limited visitors at the last hours.
In many cases, yes, but there is no need for the majority of elders to die in institutions.
Most elders can age in place and continue to contribute to their communities with appropriate supports.
I canceled my cable 6 months ago, no smart phone, no media, none of the craziness. It was and is liberating to not buy into it all. I go to nature and connect fully.
Children have so much to teach us!
you Sherri deserve that
Suzannne, Yes! We can also care for our disabled family members! I took my brother out of a home and he is so much happier and healthier now. Institutions leave little room for life and spontaneity. They leave little space for non-pharmaceutical healing. I work in a home and try to bring as much love and life to the place, but it is hard. So many barriers to work within.
Jesse Dawn, yes!!!
That self-care for yourself, Sherri, benefits us all because you give so much. If I were being self-loving, I could say the same for myself, as could all of us, I see.
Suzanne, Aging in place is not the joy that it seems - it can be very lonely and sometime impossible when services are not available.
Constance that's why we all need to care!
Sending strength and love
I am sending you love and light Sarah
I feel so very privileged because I live where I can be outside a lot, have a fire, I have to say that the beauty mother nature is showing at this time is almost heartbreakingly beautiful Trees , birds, the deer even the fierce wind, fires , clouds so very present

My grandsons being home , are getting a real education Helping build things, being outside , gardening Helping around the house as well as some reading, writing
Yes, I teach mindfulness as well and have been students are asking for more of it!
... breath and voice too ...
... deep spontaneous resonance ...
I am dedicating part of my garden to harvest for hunger!
I have a community garden plot
and my daughter, working from home is doing it with her own rhythms “seeing” client, followed by taking a short run or tiny nap Walking outside often between clients
I am currently working with two collective intelligence communities working collaboratively to launch imminent actions to eradicate hunger and future pandemics.
Jake I work with youth too ( currently in a school setting, but remotely) and have also found that they do like mindfulness and find the benefits of it
Yes, I find the same thing Kristen!
