Participants, can you share what your school district is doing?

We are having virtual graduations that will be broadcast on local PBS, and we also continued with all of our senior awards by pre-recording and livestreaming them. Our district purchased gifts for all Seniors, which will be distributed during our Senior Check-out. At our school, we are making Senior Check-out a drive/walk through campus and we will announce names over the school intercom and have a picture opportunity. We have been told "no parades" at this point, though. There are still plans for an in-person graduation at a later date.

Completely agree with the person who spoke about not defaulting to the old model of education, but using this opportunity to embrace a 21st century model. To respond to the global pandemic and its impact on educational systems, my colleague and I just published a book on Amazon entitled, The New Normal Culture of Education: Will COVID-19 Cure Education's Pandemic™? School, district & higher ed closings led to the traditional schoolhouse model of education being replaced by a much needed 21st century model that embeds effective technology practices.

As the director of our educational leadership program at Butler University, our graduate students are researching “re-entry” (and now re-imagining school )as leaders transition back to school. We have 13 Design Teams research such topics as remediation, equity, operations, instruction, testing, technology, athletics, etc. If anyone has any useful information, please email me at: dlecklid@butler.edu. Love this discussion (should have know with David Schuler). Thank you all for your collaboration. If you want to see some of this on Twitter, we use #EPPSPBluepring2020. I welcome any documents you might be able to share. Thanks, Deb Lecklider

Also, how do we support students with high-risk health needs, and ensure they are connected to school?
Alyssia Harper

What are people doing for lack of internet access? We offer devices to every student but being in a rural district poses the challenge of not all students having equal internet opportunity for virtual learning.

I like the video idea, but what does that mean for video release for students?
