A register truly needed for people with disabilities . the burden on families with people with various intellectual disabilities a whole lot . social protection policies must be enacted. there are little or no concrete polices or guidelines across Nigeria and the families struggle so much to get any of any benefit . effective advocacy still needed . advocacy

We are facing the same issues whether in a 1st world country or 3rd world, the approach to dealing with disability is still very much the medical or charitable approach

Give persons with disabilities a grant, put them in a special school or home and keep them segregated from society and they actually think that this is okay
Fitzherbert Niles
01:32:28
They are not considering the social method where persons with disabilities are actually included in the educational system, the workplace and in society in general

Another challenge is the fact that some persons with disabilities only want the charity, empathy and sympathy as it is all tied together

Need for awareness , inclusion and integration for people with disabilities . stigmatization still prevalent . lack of infrastructure, adequate training etc still a major challenge . Firstly those policies must be put in place . People with disabilities cannot continue to get the crumbs ...Famiky support needed , those who can be trained must be empowered , and the right support will bring about the more needed change and liberation . People first . support will independence
