Typical phases of AmeriCorps service: The Honeymoon Phase: everyone is so excited during the first few weeks, getting a chance to meet everyone! Then Facing Reality: could be recognizing that what you sign up to do is more complex than you imagined, could be facing the reality of the living allowance, could be dealing with being part of a new community due to transition. Then Overcoming: mostly needs to come from the members themselves, but may seek extra support. Then Accomplishment: yay! Member sees that they are making a difference or learning a lot. Then Exit Fever: the last phase where mistakes can happen.
