Do you want to record this?
Anna Clock
36:25
My screen says it is recording.
Matt G
36:48
I see that in the corner - but not in the participant list (but maybe the sharing icon takes precedence)
Matt G
37:03
(I hadn't seen it in the corner at first, though. :) )

Yes - Gunalchéesh to both of you for walking us through the story
Ruth Jensen (she/her) Gresham, OR
01:18:11
Yes, please share memory techniques when you have a chance.
Liz
01:19:30
Does your method have a name? There’s a method of memorization called ‘loci’. Sounds like a similar method.

Matt, do you have a website with your Lingít on it? Could you share it?
Matt G
01:21:09
Yes Liz - the method of Loci is part of it, but there's more, as well. Maybe later on in another class I can pull together an example of some Tlingit language/grammar and share how I used the techniques to memorize it.

Matt is this the main resource you used for looking up example sentences? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_dONRvvGz4gam5PS1NKNGc5dnM/view

01:22:08
X̱ʼunei - Gunalchéesh - I appreciate your encouragement.
Matt G
01:22:49
Barbara - I am planning to put some more stuff on my website, but don't have much there yet (if you look at Tlnigit natural history terms on sitkanature.org in the menu) you can find a handful of things.
Matt G
01:23:14
I also started an Instagram page where I'm posting pictures and trying to say something about them. https://www.instagram.com/khuti_neegi/
Matt G
01:24:13
Anna - yes, I used that for part (especially nouns, and for the shunaxeex example). The other main thing I used was the Tlingit verb roots page: http://ankn.uaf.edu/~TlingitVerbs/TlingitVerbsRoots.xml
Ruth Jensen (she/her) Gresham, OR
01:24:25
Awesome! X̱ʼunei - Gunalchéesh - I’m grateful you’re advocating for us to learn Lingit.

Question: The Lingit keyboard is hardware, right? Where is it available for purchase? Then is there a place to download the Lingit font?
Anna Clock
01:33:48
Ruth, do you have a Mac or a PC?

Anna - just thought of something else in response to your earlier question of my approach. I tried to think as much as possible about the physical motion and use that as the basis of what I was trying to find in Tlingit (rather than thinking in terms of English words I wanted to translate)
