Monday LTC Provider Call - SNFs - Shared screen with speaker view
we have finished our initial testing. Should we test new employees when they start or test them when we do our next round of testing (sentinel testing)
We had our Covid Infection Control survey late last week by NH DHHS. Should we also expect for a Federal level Covid Survey?

Hillsborough County Nursing Home Meetings
For bldgs in an active outbreak, does Kristie want a call with each new case? Or is that only for buildings without a prior positive.
I had a CMS regional IC survey in April, zero COVID 19
Will I see another IC survey?

should I schedule an inspection with Kristie?
or are they just showing up?
Under this surveillance testing program through MAKO labs, I am under the understanding that this only applies to facilities that are not currently in an outbreak. Is this correct?
Fairview only allow pre packaged items.
No home cooked meals allowed
We are wiping down items with disinfectant before they are brought into the building.
We have a "no contact" drop off location in the back of the building for resident packages - in order to save postage fees. Only nonperishable items.
Just to clarify, if we had a staff person who was an asymptomatic positive, that person would never be included in the routine surveillance testing.
We spoke with the testing site on Friday. She stated that this is not mandatory and they just strongly recommend participation. However, I thought on our Wednesday call it was said this is a condition of employment?
When should have most centers statewide received first shipment?
Is the expectation to get 100% of staff in the two assigned days? This could be problematic.
We received our test kits from Mako. What type of tests are they? Nasopharyngeal or anterior Nares or oral?
My Assisted Living is structurally attached to our LTC facility so we are included in the sentinel testing. The LTC has a medical director. The AL does not. On the requisitions will we put the residents individual PCPs on it?
To a3890as, the Anterior nasal have a long Q-tip, the NP tests have a tiny bottle brush at the end of a long flexible shaft
We ask that families put items in a container that can be wiped down. We clean the containers and then after the dry time we deliver to the residents.
We had out of state staff cross out "reside" and write "work" in the state of NH
Because we are small, could we still obtain kits from the Public Health Lab? and deliver there?
Is that still an option?
Peabody Home, a private home, no CMS
Thank you Kristie, Sue and Aaron.
