You cannot depend on emergency services
Most cell towers do not have UPS
No backup power supplies
you may want to add medications to Medical/FirstAid
Also if you have pets, you need to consider there needs unless you are prepared for them to parish
Have plenty of your RX pharmaceuticals on hand
Make sure you have a can of engine starting fluid.
I bought a generator years ago. Still in the box, never used. Not the best.
don't forget about safety and security concerns if your home and lights are on generator running and your cooker is bellowing smoke could be a problem!
Then learn yoga so you can bend over and kiss your butt goodbye
Start small and turn prepping into family fun. Get parents and kids involved. Make everyone part of the solution
