Just want everyone to know that I drive a 2018 Nissan Leaf - love the vehicle, fun to drive, "smart," and I feel good about no emissions. Range hasn't been an issue for me, I charge at home overnight.
From Q&A - does anyone who has an EV and lives in an apartment have recommendations for charging if your building doesn't have a charging station?
Ask your boss!
I’ve seen people in my apartment building just plug into an outlet in the parking garage. I always wondered how and who paid for that power!
the apartment charging question is a good one - so longer term, we could be working towards building codes that require EV charging be built in new buildings and retrofitted in older ones.
City of Tacoma Policy!! WAHOO!
going to all those meetings paid off!
There's a Facebook page devoted to things with faces... these would be great for that!
Darn you Elon!!!
I've purchased an inverter so that I can use my car battery for emergency electric for my home during power outages. Won't carry major loads like heat, but good for food refrigeration, lighting, charging electronics. When my EV battery gets low using the inverter, I can drive to a working charge station and recharge.

$2 for 5 hours! That's a great deal!
ok... thanks for that! I was comparing to gas prices!
I will have to research that question - is hydro renewable?
Fair enough! Salmon are important!
