The important thing to keep in mind is that while these physical marker represent a specific organization they need to bring value to the whole campus.

Hello Anne Edwards,Director of the Center for Black Studies at Northern Illinois university.

Attendees - What is the size of your NPHC community on your campus? (Campus - and ball park range)
Anne Edwards
01:08:00
Question: Can you provide examples of learning outcomes?
Eric Simeon
01:09:21
Also, you must understand how putting these on campus will change your campus culture based on the specific type of physical marker you choose (plot, rock, banner, garden, etc.). They are not all the same and have different tranditions around them.

Hi Lily. At my undergraduate university, which was a state school and PWI, we had rocks that organizations were allowed to decorate,. As they died out after a few years the rocks would be reissued to another org.
Eric Simeon
01:13:53
That said, the best way to approach this would be to provide supports so that these organizations don't fluctuate out
Rasheed Ali Cromwell, Esq. (he/him)
01:15:48
Thank you Darnell, Lily, Di’Monique for sharing the sizes of your community with us!

01:32:38
Hi Lynn, I think along with all of the answers that you have gotten so far, you have to really educate the campus community that you are building a tradition, and any tradition takes time.

Do either of you have experience with a downtown campus or a campus with "sacred" places? Our bigger issue right now is location and/or future planning of locations.

Has anyone asked questions on funding? I joined a little late so I may have missed it. Is the responsibility on the Council/Orgs to raise money or the Institution?
