Managing Anxiety for You and Your Family During Reopening (includes talking to your children about alcohol) - Shared screen with speaker view
Who can see your viewing activity?
Welcome Karen, Kathy, and Gina!
Hi Dr. Woolf!
How does empowerment and disempowerment work for kids? How can we help them find ways to feel empowered during this time?
Yes the slides will be sent out, along with the recording and list of resources!
Kids are imitative and are always watching how parents or other caregivers, their role models, are acting and reacting. If we are centered and calm and empowered, it reassures them.
You are so right Dr. Woolf! Our kids take cue's from us - adults can role model healthy behaviors and coping skills!
We've posted many resources here on our website: www.mysticvalleypublichealth.org/connectandcope
We will also be posting the recording of this webinar in the near future - so check back and please share with others!
attendees can also "raise hand" if you want to verbally ask a question or comment! Ivy will "call on you" :)
Young kids often work out issues and concerns through the business of “play”. I see a lot of great sidewalk chalk art. Check out the website www.coloringforcovid.com which offers free downloadable coloring books for kids at different age levels: 5-6 year olds, 7-8 year olds, 9-10 year olds.
Great idea - thanks for sharing that!!
