v interested in wrestling with the validity of land connection even if it doesn't span generations

I think diaspora (in its meaning as dispersion) actually is about relationship to a central piece of land -- but specifically about the relationship, not about being in that land.

The stories we tell about land/our relationship to it shape those relationships/our behaviors

I’m always parched for stories of my ancestors, while trying to shift out of scarcity.
