We should make sure Jill gives this report to both Senate & House AG Committees - plus the other 'people' and 'food' committees.

Debra Smith

Kathy Zeman, she/her, MFMA
02:02:37

This is awesome! Way to go Jill!!
Marlise Riffel
02:05:22
So it will be up to vendors to limit sales paid for by GUSNIP to produce?
Sarah Larsen
02:06:41
Are there any administrative grants available with the GusNIP funds? This is a lot more work for staff both on site and reporting after each market.
Bonnie Hanna-Powers
02:07:36
Wonderful, thank you!
Bridget
02:07:43
So a customer can spend $10 in snap and get $10 in regular market bucks and $ 10 in GusNip for produce only? Will you the coupons be easily for vendors and customers to know the difference
Bonnie Hanna-Powers
02:10:22

Sarah Larsen
02:12:49
Thank you for your work in securing the additional funds Jill!
Jenny Heck, Mill City Farmers Market

Jill, I have a basic question. Outside markets talking about it, how is the Market Bucks matching program communicated to SNAP recipients?
Bonnie Hanna-Powers
02:13:29
Here's a question I get for POP bucks - what about dried apples with no additional ingredients?
Martha Archer ( she/her )
02:14:47
Great - those postcards really drove traffic to the market. Thank you!
Kathy Zeman, she/her, MFMA
02:17:20
Food plants ok for GusNIP?
Sarah Larsen
02:18:25
When we get them from Hunger Solutions separated by 10's, that is great!
Debra Smith
02:18:37
How do new markets get more information on the trainings?
Kim Guenther
02:19:20
I agree with Sarah. Having them separated by 20s this year was helpful.
Kim Guenther
02:19:26
10s not 20s
Debra Smith
02:19:57
yes
Bonnie Hanna-Powers

I had feedback from a SNAP customer this year that in Portland, they have an unlimited SNAP match at markets. I was amazed by that. How big that budget must be!
Abby Shepler RFM
02:20:32
We teamed up with some adult education centers in town and did classes on how to use your snap/ebt benefits + market bucks at the market
