Two questions for everyone: on Faculty Professional Development related to Culturally Responsive Curriculum, what are you doing on your campus? For Curriculum Development, what resources are you using on your local campus?

How does your curriculum committee evaluate COR revisions in alignment with the college’s mission; advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion; and culturally relevant educational programs? What are some of the promising practices at your college? What challenges are you experiencing? What solutions are you considering in regard to the challenges?

When considering seemingly difficult courses in which to incorporate culturally responsive teaching practices, I recommend that you look at Long Beach City College’s cultural curriculum audit workbook. That is what I used when designing our college’s CCA workshop this semester. We have discovered that a culturally responsive/relevant curriculum is possible for all fields of study.

@ Nora We had wanted to create a DEI Ambassador training where participants could be certified as having gone through the training and be able to participate in groups on campus as a Equity Ambassador. Like in interviews
