People are seeking solutions, gift of sickness/authoritarian leadership see how broken everything is here, harming ourselves and all living beings, raise up the work that is already in process
Kat Haber
01:39:12
Lotus Sutras stories of compassion in Buddhism, Despot, abusive, per hungry, causes great harm to his community, revealed he was the Buddha, for each to awaken their own sense of compassion, embracing our shadow side, feel shame/anger/fear negative emotions, that which becomes unmentionable becomes unmanageable
Kat Haber
01:40:17
Lisa: find courage to embrace negative emotions, be fully human? Build through compassion? Entire planet of people living with PTSD, how do we choose compassion and love,
Kat Haber
01:43:41
Steve: Hiroshima-get rid of nuclear weapons to have peace or have peace to get rid of nuclear weapons? Make people compassionate first then people will love each other and move away from Weapons, Nuclear weapons embody and manifest cutthroat competition, unconscious fear around the world, minutes away from Extinction, a few hyper competitive warriors could kill us in an afternoon, kill you and everyone else to protect my wealth and power, compassion a shield? How will promoting compassion take care of CO2, rid of nuclear weapons, in the time we have available with compassion?
Melissa Sanderson
01:47:19
Thank you for allowing me to attend tonight at this important conversation! I have to leave now for another commitment, I’m sorry. Mel
Kat Haber
01:49:28
Lisa: not one or the other its both, happy but inside in pain, through lens of both, we are all both on a spectrum, do not deny evil, clearly it exists and we all contain it inside our own hearts, each capable of murder, thanks for our inner awareness, we all have a dark side, ‘TO KNOW SELF IS TO KNOW OTHER.” Counterterrorism 9 years in a war zone, series of red lights of being in a suicide bombing, handle evil with terror of nuclear weapons, terror first, Israeli weapons power point terrorists and what we were doing to capture them, they are running show to capture and kill, never going to win this war this way, what is instead caught them and thanked them for showing who we do not want to be, try still to reeducate them and imprison them, the room went silent, speaker said OK we are taking a break, a woman what the fuck are you doing here? You actually want to do something about it and heal this. Speaker said rendered speechless, made some good points, that is the right way, but we are not yet there,
Kat Haber
01:51:50
Lisa: Japan collective intergenerational PTSD is tremendous for everybody, most humans have PTSD, its a collective answer, have to help people to heal, do the work tom protect ourselves with boundaries, its a hard one, not 100% knowledgeable of nuances, would like to have it in detail, its both have to get it on all ends, hurting other is hurting self, when we heal we touch on our interconnectedness
Kat Haber
01:52:31
Steve: Key is the awareness of interconnection/oneness, nukes is the end for all of us, spiritual, collectively, personally, spiritually, politically,
Kat Haber
01:56:00
Steve: one thing about changing people’s attitudes, treat pressure on governments to move, human instincts, fear, anger, revenge, all these things are so easily entwined through despots, for all the good people with compassion dn influence, only takes just one to ignite that emotion, so many susceptible, nuclear war does not come from rational people, governments know where the road leads, but do not work to diminish it, WE the People must protect ourselves, Compassion as a toll for peace, how do we face it, leader in middle east intentionally causing it for own political benefit,
Kat Haber
01:57:54
Lisa: Like love and hope compassion is a clear know, even sometimes a kick in the pants, education, self-awareness, tools for people to know themselves to make anger , fear expressible, fear/sadness/grief relevant on the collective, Hiroshima collective social intelligence carries grief,
Kat Haber
02:00:07
Steve: Eastern Russia Rotary lost 30 million people every family lost a close family relation to war, no more peace loving people than Russia, on Leader day celebrating their victory in WWII, be prepared to fight in war, sufferened and know what war is, Japanese know what nuclear bomb does, yet patriotic and will go to war of leaders propagandize to be ready for war of the past, war creates desire for peace, yet instills desire to prevent it by being prepared for war,
Kat Haber
02:02:17
Emett Koken, Cross cultural communities and nations, other to understand self, war identifies my tribe here so enemy distinguishes the other over there, use the bomb to keep people peaceful or people to rid the bomb to be peaceful, interconnectedness then what is the enemy, we are harming our home EARTH we must heal,
Kat Haber
02:03:21
How do we do this, on such a precipice, how do we help one another to see the real enemy is ourselves, when enough people choose it to be different, then an opportunity to invite others to step in with us, how do we want to deal with the bad actors, what are the boundaries
Kat Haber
02:05:23
Adam Schiff American elections-do we have to have the international communities oversee our elections, collaborative working together, still have despots, only on a collective level,
Kat Haber
02:07:07
American election-choose one thing and do that one thing well, put everything into that one thing really well, If US citizen, vote get it in, Plan our process of our counter votes, One of the gifts of this administration in the USA and other authoritarians, where the democracy must be strengthened shows where the vulnerabilities are
