Lots of birds right in that area
In the late 70’s early 80’s when I was a student at PAFA it was drilled into my head that Fairmount Park was not a safe place to go. It looks safe now, I’m sorry I missed so much of Philadelphias offerings!
I am there in the morning often looking for birds, always see bikers, walkers, dog walkers, folks fishing, even skating, I have never had a problem. It's a beautiful place.
red tailed hawks, chipmunks, chickadee, flycatcher, green heron, great blue heron, turtles, frogs, bass fish, etc, so many animals
Agreed, Gina! You can find a whole list of native plants and wildlife that you can find at Concourse Lake here: http://www.concourselake.org/

Is the arch granite?
Sorry, I mean Pennsylvania granite…
Melissa, I have seen lots of other birds not on the list, and have a few pix like yesterday a red tailed hawk, do I send to the info email address my list of birds that aren't on the website?
That would be great, Gina! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Will do, I will send pix too!
Ana, there is parking at Concourse Lake. And there is street parking near Smith Memorial Arch.
