In this section we are discussing the proposed narrowing of the drive lanes to introduce sidewalks on both sides with a shared bicycle lane markings

The on street parking will be preserved

There will be a landscape buffer between the street and the sidewalks. Sidewalks will be 8ft through this corridor in this proposed plan

In this section, there will be a 6ft sidewalk on the west side of the street with on street bicycle lanes. Drive lanes remain 10ft. There will be a raised intersection at 64th Ave

Stop signs will remain

Bicycle lanes are 5ft

At the 67th Ave intersection, can there be a directional sign informing people to go straight to get to the Corey Causeway. Many people turn east on 67th trying to get to the bridge.

The Bay St intersection will be raised with a 3 way stop (all ways)

The "burping station" on the E side of Gulf Winds Dr between 6405 and 6455 smells AWFUL frequently like sewerage. Additionally, there is standing water in front of it often. What can be done to repair both of these problems? Can a drain be added in front of it to prevent the standing sewage water. Additionally, what are the plans for proper drainage throughout the project?

There will be all new drainage as apart of this project in addition to storm water improvements. Drainage will be improved as much as possible. Standing water will be addressed with the changing profile of the road

For the specific issue between 6405 and 6455, I will pass the issue along to Public Works to be looked into

Thank you, they installed some type of scent box to help but it hasn't seemed to be working properly as we still smell sewage often.

At the curve at 70th, many people end up crossing over the center line as they navigate the curve, perhaps you can put a short median with a cut for those going in and out of 70th to slow vehicles down and keep people in their lanes.

Could you move the map to 71st so we can see the intersection?

We cannot alter the intersection at 70th because there are two large underground pipes and other utilities that require access

At 70th

Hi Donna, we cannot make any changes to the intersection at 70th Ave due to underground utilities. We are discussing the ability for a speed table or other speed calming options for that intersection

A median in the center line would be less of a change than a raised intersection

Regarding landscaping will there be a discussion among residents as to what goes in? The new grass they put in where they re-did the curbing on blind pass road is looking very rough. Would like to know if we could get a higher quality grass and better palm trees as a way to beautify the street.

Florida Palms and Oak trees will go in where possible, grass will be matched with the higher grade

Land owners will be contact when possible to discuss options

Agreed! Road from don down pas a grille looks beautiful! Would for gulf winds to look somewhat similar in terms of landscaping.

Next steps is to move onto final design, We will begin meeting with residents individually when necessary to discuss the project specifics related to their property
