Is it important to use the Lotus flower to do th generation meditation when doing Temple Of Sleep? Or could I use a dream image I have that is not the flower? If I must use Lotus, I am confuse about whether to use the two dimensional red picture, or use a real photo a lotus to develop a 3D image?

Q. for Andrew: ( or anyone I guess) - Also just starting in the group after the (rather excellent) Tibetan Book of the Dead. I'm able to wake up and have lucid dreams. Been able to do this forever. Now that I'm aware that I can / should be using this time to explore consciousness. I'm not sure what I should be doing or asking for or intending to do once I'm lucid in the dream state. What resources would you recommend here ? BTW: I've picked up Andrew's Dream Yoga book but I'm working through F. Freemantle's Luminous Emptiness.

Is there a book you highly recommend covering the terms and language of the tradition you are in? I am also more familiar with the Hindu Yogi tradition and want to become clear on the differences. Thank You.

For those who are interested in the Kalachakra and Dzogchen, Christopher Hatchell’s book offers translations on Yumo Mikyo Dorje’s text on the Kalachakra and 2 translations related to Dzogchen togal meditation. One from the Nyingma tradition and the other from the Bonp https://www.amazon.com/Naked-Seeing-Perfection-Visionary-Renaissance/dp/0199982910 o.
