Key benefits to enrolling in Basic Food right now: federal COVID benefit boosts include at least $95 more in benefits for lowest income households and 15% boost. Also, kids on BF will get Pandemic EBT (EBT benefits in lieu of school meals) through the summer (not just the school year)

Call the legislative hotline today and leave a message using the script below!1-800-562-6000 (the hotline operator will ask for your name and address to direct your message to the appropriate lawmaker)Sample message (feel free to customize):I'm calling to leave a message for my Senator: HB 1277 needs your vote. Please stand up and demand passage before it is too late. This bill is a critical piece of the eviction moratorium off-ramp needed to prevent a massive increase in homelessness. This bill must be passed before session ends. Please vote yes and demand that it be brought up for a vote.

Is 1220 only for cities with a certain population?
Karen Studders she/her
01:00:17
@ Michele and Futurewise Passing HB 1220 was a miracle and says WA wants racist land use policies removed from all municipal zoning. There was so much municipal opposition including AWC. Grateful for everyone advocacy to address systemic racism in land use in WA.

When are we going to get a full time, paid legislature so that there is time to adequately consider, negotiate and pass these bills? Things are so rushed and the needs are only going to grow and Congress 'gets a clue' and starts to fund projects to meet those needs. The work will need to take place here.
