Is the response to the ‘Have You Ever Served’ recorded in the electronic health record?
Margaret Wilmoth

We have been struggling to get this question added to Electronic Health Records in the US.

Is it also been delivered in Wales, Scotland & NI?

Is the Top Tips for Veterans accessing GPs booklet the same as the advice on the Veteran's Gateway website? If not could you post a link to it?

Are there any data about the effectiveness of the use multi-location decompression stops during the return home/redeployment process?

some of the feed back that I have had from veterans refer to a hole practice understanding and the need to involve the front of door in further training.

I sometimes become aware of veterans who aren't registered with a GP and the programme helps to encourage them to do so. In terms of data...is there a way for CCG's or NHSE to gather data from GP READ codes as to how many veterans are registered across a county or the country?
Tony Wright

Many of the veterans we work with have multiple complex un met needs and live chaotic lifestyles, as a result many, not all, are not registered with GP's or Dentists. Its a post code lottery as to access to dentists can you help change this?

Thank you for the presentation. Having recently been involved in the NHS AF Families' Engagement, and having attended the launch of the 'Living in our shoes' report earlier this week, is there scope for expanding the programme to involve accreditation for GP practices in terms of families of serving personnel? It seems to me that your accreditation creates a similar understanding of the military for GPs that is required for families of those serving. Thank you

Thanks for the info on the evidence on the decompression…would love to see it. The Canadians shared this program at AMSUS a few years ago, but did not have any data r/t outcomes for PTSD, Etc.

The MOD’s Defence Holistic Transition Policy (under DTS) aims to deliver more than just employment training (as has been the case with CTP), but it is still ‘under construction’ to a degree. See https://www.gov.uk/guidance/help-and-support-for-service-leavers-and-their-families

For anyone interested in how we support veterans and families into job opportunities within the NHS, please visit https://www.militarystepintohealth.nhs.uk/ We have recruit over 800 personnel into the NHS over the past 18 months.

Matt - we find the same patterns of veterans settling around military installations. Part of the issue is that our Veteran Health Administration Hospitals are sometimes not located in these areas and there is no transportation, especially for older veterans to get to these facilities. I'm not sure anyone is collecting the kinds of data you are. Nice job!
