what is considered "meaningful"\ stakeholder engagement?
Christina Easton
35:57
*"meaningful" stakeholder engagement?
Laura Gorman
36:01
Can you give examples of what we would submit for stakeholder engagement -- board agendas? principal surveys?
Mimi Livermore - Adams 12
37:41
So Districts should not plan to commit to any spending until the Plan is approved? What about trying to bring on temporary type staff to support our learning models?
Michael Everest
40:07
Is the return to in-person plan for this year or next school year?
Angi - Montezuma- Cortez Sauk
41:47
Our LEA has a plan for safe return ( since we have been open). We were able to link to that in the initial application piece sent it. Did we have to have a link for district authorized charters as well or do they fall under the LEA?
Carrie Zimmerman
42:14
How long is the turn around for approval if you have submitted ESSER III including the budget?

45:51
What is the turnaround time for the ESSER III app review if no budget was included to meet the May 23rd deadline?
CDE: Kristin Crumley
46:02
@Angi, The Safe Return plan is an LEA requirement. So, in the application, you only need to include the LEA plan UNLESS the LEA plan references a school level plan.
APS- Amy Beruan
48:54
"New activity" is reasonable to put in front of any of those activities?
DeLilah Collins
49:06
@Amy yes
CDE: Niko Kaloudis
49:57
@Angela We should have that back to you by end of day Monday. If there are line items, it will likely take longer.

Is part 1 and 2 based on formula, or only 2?
Angi - Montezuma- Cortez Sauk
01:06:02
In the ESSER II application, when we are using the pulldown to state what year we are spending funds, there are only choices for 2020-21 and 2021-22- what do we do if there is a salary that will go through the tydings period (9/20/2023)?
CDE Nazie Mohajeri-Nelson
01:06:25
@Angi
Laura Gorman
01:06:29
When you say open up does that mean competitive? So, those of us without MV Grants may not get any of the 25%?
CDE Nazie Mohajeri-Nelson
01:06:54
@Angi in the 22-23 item, indicate that the activity will be a 2 year activity.
CDE - Steven Kaleda
01:07:05
@ Angi - Use the FY21-22 dropdown and provide additional information in the narrative that it includes 2 years
CDE: Niko Kaloudis
01:07:11
@Angi Please use the first school/fiscal year that the budget line applies to. Then in the description, note the years that those funds will roll over to. The total amount for the line should equall the cost for all years added together.
Krissi Camper
01:07:20
How does an LEA receive their ARP Homeless funds? Is there an application that we need to submit or is this part of the ESSER fund budgets?
Laura Gorman
01:07:24
Is CDE for sure keeping the 25%? Thinking how many districts & families need housing assistance now
Dana Scott
01:10:24
We are working on the applications and budget templates, Krissi. More information to come on this and we will bring back an update as that plan and respective materials are developed.
Dana Scott
01:11:28
Laura, yes we understand and fully agree. No final decisions have been made but we hope to use a portion of the funding to help meet those emergency needs at the local level.
liz duncan Duncan
01:11:47
When do we find out our allocation amount for the homeless funds?
Dana Scott
01:12:41
Hi Liz, we are working on that now and should have additional information soon.
Christina Easton
01:13:19
Just to confirm, ARP-HCY 1 is only going to LEAs with McKinney Vento funding currently?
Dana Scott
01:13:45

Do you have any suggestions on coding for Covid response expenditures that are incurred but are not being funded by CRF or ESSERs?
APS- Amy Beruan
01:15:10
On the budget summary tab, will this calculate in 9414? so we can check for the 20%?
CDE - Steven Kaleda
01:15:29
it does not calculate in the application
CDE - Steven Kaleda
01:15:45
it gives totals, but not percentages
Dana Scott
01:16:16
A portion of ARP-HCY I will most likely go to currently funded subgrantees. We are exploring opening a portion of this funding to others through through an expedited application process. This option is being explored and we have not received final approval yet but should be receiving approvals on the final plans in the next few weeks.
APS- Amy Beruan
01:16:21
Okay- so it does at least break out totals by sub program?
CDE - Steven Kaleda
01:16:39
yes - it will give you the 9414 total
APS- Amy Beruan
01:17:13
TY Steven
Laura Gorman
01:18:15
If the ARP Homeless funding is really about the pandemic, then why would you only do some to current grantees? I do get that it is pretty limited funding for the 25% so that it just might be hitting those most impacted -- is that a fair assumption if you do it that way -- trying to explain the rationale potentially to others in district
Dana Scott
01:19:38
Hi Laura, let's set up a call with Kerry and me. We can talk through what we know to date and share some of our thinking. I'd love to hear feedback.

Do we know when ESSER II supplemental application for students with disabilities will open?
APS- Amy Beruan

Has there been any new information about IDEA ARP ESSER?
Laura Gorman
01:20:59

What does access to the AU's SPED supplemental look like? Should there be a separate link? Or once we are given access should it show up in our ESSER II application? I'm not seeing ours, and I've requested access. Wasn't sure if I just missed something?

Huerfano RE-1 submitted the ESSER II budget on 04/15/21, we have budget line items that will need to be paid out in the 2020-21 school year, any chance we can have this reviewed as soon as possible?
APS- Amy Beruan
