I was involved with an effort of USAID and the US Forest Service to support ecotourism and increased valuation for non-timber resources from the Congo River Basin. Have there been efforts like this with governmental or NGO support in Borneo?

I'm curious how the New Zealand volunteers were different...….

How strong is the separation between Indonesian Borneo and the Maylasian part? Is there a movement to unify Borneo, or does anyone even think of that?
