Is CIS initials?
Kristin (she/her) - PPF
42:23
It comes from chemistry. If atoms are on the same side of a molecule, they're "cis". If they're on the opposite, they're "trans".
Kristin (she/her) - PPF
42:35
(Or something very similar to that. :) )

My granddaughter is nonbinary, just turned 14. I can accept that and do support her. I had difficulty calling “them” “they”. Finally got that but now they have changed their name twice, and I keep fumbling over myself. Any suggestions?

Gender designations seem to be based on stereotypical personality traits of men and women. But those are changing. It would be a big leap, but if society gets to the point of not seeing them as different, if the labels disappear, does the need for gender differentiation go away?
