Well, it's obvious that clothing sales are struggling. All I've worn for the past year is pajamas. ;)
What about active gathering spaces in downtowns - will they rebound?
For-sale housing demand is incredibly high but most multifamily development I see being built along the Wasatch front is for-rent. Do you anticipate seeing condo conversions as investors may want to cash out now with prices so high?
Could those moves (more mixed use and office/restaurant to suburbs) result in shorter commute distances?
How much of the "Zoom town" phenomenon is likely to stick? If a number of people continue to telecommute 3 or 4 days a week, will they be more likely to move to places like Heber or Kamas?
Similar to the demand for patio space in dining, is the market experiencing/responding to growing demand for outdoor space in residential development, including smaller products like townhomes and condos? Rooftop patios, other patios and gardens, etc.
what portion of the 60% increase was due to on-line sales, like Amazon?
Have you seen a need/demand for groceries stores/minimarts integrated into the first floor of the apartment buildings?
Have you seen an increased demand for distribution centers for online order delivery (i.e. Amazon)?
Have you seen any innovative means of addressing the pick-up of goods/meals for built out main streets? Alleys become more important?
Will it become more important for public transportation to access community locations (grocery stores, etc.) than to have it primarily access downtown offices for commuting?
Loved Chad Eccles' article about telework.
Probably more especially pricing disadvantaged populations out of the home market.
Reminder to put in questions
Can we talk a little more about the impact of migration to rural areas?
Workforce housing is in huge demand but with constant local opposition - any suggestions?
