I can relate :D
Courtney Someone

co-emergent arising: Is the moon still there after "my end of time" - physical death?
Karen Roper
26:56
Yeh! for edgy humor
Courtney Someone
29:15
So then why is it we AGREE on it - different people?
Brenda
29:31
yes, why?
Christine
29:49
That's my question, as well!
Stan Hoffman
29:56
Yeah. I never gave my consent....
Courtney Someone
31:15
Oh, we're not supposed to ask why... (LOL on consent Stan). Rephrased: how is it that all humans in a room will all create the same "reality"? (not a bee, not a bat, not a dolphin etc)
Marianne Kreissig
31:54
Very deep… thank you…
Monica Rocha
33:08
This Is a question that I always have, Courtney Someone
Evelyn McKelvie
33:08
we are not alone - we are co-creating
Courtney Someone
34:17
Oh. I think he's getting into some serious MIND stuff here. Senses are all information sent to "the black box" called the brain. So: If this were true, and if I changed my "view" of what I expected to see when I opened my eyes, then I can LITERALLY change what appears when my eyes open? That's what I'm understanding in magical thinking way.

Questions for Andrew? Type them here or raise-your-hand and we’ll give you the audio.
Stan Hoffman
36:31
What are the actual steps to the practice you just described?
Stephanie Ramer
37:20
Maybe we “agree” because we have similarly structured sense faculties and also similarly constructed contemporary conditionioning?
Lindsay Schachinger
37:29
Don’t we co-create the “other people,” too?
Elaine
38:53
I would agree with that statement
Courtney Someone
39:27
SHUT UP!
Courtney Someone
41:07
I can attest to "heart connection". It took deeper practice (merely scratching the surface in comparison to Holecek) and a couple deaths that were experientially profound. Then I "got it"
Barbara Collins
42:49
can poa be done after the last breath?
David Wimberly
43:32
phowa
Courtney Someone
44:13
I think there's inner dissolutions that continue after the breath stops. (the heart is still beating, for instance). Then the 'secret dissolutions' - as I understand it in the Tibetan tradition/teachings
Elaine
45:21
Andrew, What about animals? I had a close relationship with my dog of 14 years. She came back to me after she died. My bed shakes. I can't confess this to most people....

Question: during lucid dreamless sleep, is it possible to initiate a dream at will?

Question for Andrew: physicists are now saying the universe is not created from matter but from energy. This coincides with our discussion. Andrew can you speak about energy in the context of the Tibetan Buddhist view?
Tim Hawk

Thank You

So—I’m not limited in space and time if I realize that there isn’t any matter. But if a thug comes up to me and hits me over the head with a wrench, how come that kills me?

My husband is with covid, I am here taking care of him and everything at home. I see myself very shaking in the beginning of the day. Fear - is what I realised I am feeling , although I practice, many signs of protection… Do you have anything to say? My test was negative. Thank you
Elaine
01:05:06
Thank you, Thank you!

I am feeling sad now, although I have been very ok, doing what I have to do… I have periferic neuropathies ..

While my main practice is Buddhist, I've also studied shamanism a bit, and there seem to be a lot of parallels between the two views--in shamanism, there is a lot of focus on healing and ancestors--is there a similar focus in Buddhist practice on ancestors and on healing? It seems that this world is SO in need of healing, and I would like to know how I can incorporate the practice of healing into my Buddhist practice. Thank you!

Magnificent, thank you Andrew for the response (regarding dreamless sleep and initiating a dream at will)! You little bit answered already to another question of mine, I think, as I’ve been wondering what is the ’dreaming’ phase of the deep sleep :) Thank you.

Yes, volunteerism is a fabulous way to fill the void!
Elaine

I get depressed and I recovered from alcoholism. I have always done volunteer work. I get a 'kick' out of it. It is satisfying.

Fear
Barry
01:32:47
I found this book helpful a few years ago for dealing with FEAR. https://www.amazon.com/Feel-Fear-Do-Anyway/dp/0345487427
Tanja
01:33:55
Fear arises to protect/defend that which is dear to us. Fear arises if something that is dear to us is in danger. When I started to think about fear this way, a lot changed <3
