Question / follow up please - BFPO Facebook Update a few days ago stated that all parcels without customs label are being returned to sender. Does this apply to those sent before dec 31st?

Are letters also delayed (noting that there would be less Customs issues)?

I may have missed the answer to this but how does a UK company know a parcel is going overseas and therefore requires a customs certificate as opposed to going to a ship alongside in Plymouth which doesn’t? The BFPO address is a UK address and therefore doesn’t require a customs certificate. Surely we can’t expect every company to change their procedures to provide customs certificate to UK addresses? BF12AG is a UK address and therefore doesn’t require a certificate or changes to duty payments.

my daughter is expecting a package being sent to our BFPO address from her school in the U.K. they have put a customs label on it, will we need to pay customs? it’s a package she ordered from Amazon UK
