Jon Tepper

You are correct, Ms. Shachar. Zoom struggles with 200+ participants. That's why it's critical that everyone turn off their individual video cameras, which reduces the bandwidth required for Zoom to process and transmit to all of us.

Jon- perhaps we should ask Temple to add note re turning off video as @ 10-15+ from TE, would help a little.

Soon after making Aliyah from the US, my late sister bought her first house in Shikun Hey in Beer Sheva. Small world.
Susan Shevitz
01:09:34
How old was she when she went to Israel? Bought the house?
Mel Barenholtz
01:12:25
My sister made Aliyah around 1970 and lived in Shikun Hey (Rechov Alterman) for almost 50 years until she moved to Jerusalem last year.

Misspelled straits!
Michael Kaftor
01:31:56
Johnson tried to assemble an international armada to open the straits .. he warned Israel in three letters not to attack and when he failed and told Israel about it .. it was a signal for Israel that it was on its own .. and to start the war.

I also recall visiting Expo 67 in Montreal, a few months after the 6-day War. The Israel Pavilion was a real showcase, designed by Moshe Safdie.
Kitty Hoffman
02:07:50
Yes. Safdie was living in Montreal at that time, and was an Architecture prof at McGill. He also designed Habitat 67, which was a very innovative apartment design at the time and related to Expo. He then used that design for apartment complexes all over Israel.
Jon Tepper
02:09:35
Yes, I think those 1967 buildings really put Safdie on the map, and commissions around the world soon followed.
Kitty Hoffman
02:10:10
Yes. Exactly. And he helped put McGill’s Schoolof Archotecture on the map!
