At East LA College, we have a year-long New Faculty Institute, which over time led to the potential for forming a Community of Practice. This PD model and CRT have helped to broaden support for professional growth. During the same period, we invested stipends for department facilitators to get us to reach sustainable learning outcomes assessment. While we no longer have the stipends, we do have a movement to emphasizes an emphasis on reflecting on how to improve our instruction.
