Regarding helping children, Kairen - what advice would you offer for those children who are over-using the playstation? I've had that issue raised a lot from parents!

Can I please ask for any thoughts on engaging a new patient who is extremely health anxious. They are very ambivalent about CBT treatment in particular any exposure? it is impacting his family a lot they have barely left home since lockdown. thank you

Hi, I am an AP working in a mental health team in offender care. We see a lot of patients who are particularly struggling with being locked in their cells for 23 hours and seeing no end to the prison lockdown. I am finding I am running out of reassurances, is there any advice anyone can give to help keep them going and give them hope?

You 03:29 PMThe concept of soothing systems as presented in Rebekah Chadwick's Compassion Based Therapy webinar was something I identified with . I am a person centred therapist supporting bereaved families and found this a very useful intervention to invite clients to consider. It enabled them to think about what is within their power to control and what is not - and what resources they may already have or can access to support their own wellbeing during Covid.
