If he is indicted, I for see him trying to leave the country.

Challenging the vote might be tricky, because the ballots cover many races, and they may like some of the results.

42:21
Which is the more important position relative to democracy: Governor or Secretary of State?

43:12
Seems to me that the Governor pretty much gets whatever he has introduced “at the pleasure of the Governor”

44:12
Some campaigns --left and right-- send exact same email multiple times a day "from" various politicians including Rudio

45:31
Also: VoteSmart.org has a lot of information on candidates.

Not sure why. I will have to look into that. Sorry.

55:15
Less stress, too, leads to better health.

56:13
How does it integrate with the work being done by the Washington Tax Structure Work Group?

01:00:13
Andre Stackhouseandre.stackhouse@wholewashington.org206 715 7085https://twitter.com/captainstack

01:01:14
***Bryan, we have not worked with the Washington Tax structure Work Group. We have worked with the Washington Depattment of revenue, and the Unemployment Security Department.

01:02:06
Hello Bryan! I'm not sure how it integrates with that work group, we are working to align our work as much as we can with the newly formed Universal Healthcare Commission. We hired a U Mass Amherst economist to help us develop a funding plan within the legal means of our tax code while making the structure as progressive as possible.

01:02:41
We would love to get in touch with the Tax Structure Work Group though! I can look into it, and if you have any contacts or links to share that would help me move that along quickly :)

01:06:57
Andre, Try this for info on the TSWG, https://taxworkgroup.org/ several of it's members are members of the state legislature and I'm sure would appreciate hearing about the tax proposals associated with this initiative.

01:08:23
Thank you Bryan! I'm working on an email to them now, and I see that a number of their legislators are cosponsors or endorsers of Whole Washington, so I think it will be a good conversation!

01:14:44
That's straight up sadistic

01:18:59
I spoke with a gentleman who had not voted for 42 years and he was not aware that he had his right to vote returned here in WA.

01:19:57
Someone asked about debt, in FL former felons CAN vote thanks to a law passed in 2019, though DeSantis added a requirement to have all debt paid off first which many say amounts to essentially poll tax

01:20:25
sorry, the law was 2019, the FL Govs exec order was 2019

01:20:51
And DeSantis changed the reqt so those who had had a murder or sex felony case were excluded.

01:21:04
that voter literacy form

01:23:30
Importanr to see DemocracyNow today's interview with the leader of Black Votes Matter They are sending buses to approximately 8 or 9 states.

01:24:29

01:28:44
Note relevant to Cindy's comments:Slavery is still legal in the United States, so long as it is pursuant to a criminal conviction and if it is limited to compulsory uncompensated labor—and indeed that is precisely the system America maintains today.

01:30:00
Yes there are five states including Oregon that will vote on this, - using prison labor for cheap

01:30:11
Some of what you are saying is new to me though I was also taught that the Civil War as fought over economics not morals.

01:30:31
*new to mw

01:30:37

01:31:01

I really appreciate all the White Folks who are here and openly discussing this difficult topic ~~~

01:35:33
Thank you PKS TKS for sharing your perspective.

01:36:38
Growing up in White , middle class America, It was too many years before I knew this stuff existed!

01:37:40
PKS TKS - appreciate your perspective on the founding of this country as well. One thing I've found in my journey is that as you peel away the onion in time, you see how the motives to keep preferential treatment for some over others has a long history.

01:38:38
Capitalism Versus Socialism. Take Communism out of the picture and Socialism makes sense.

01:38:52
I agree! we are a country that is ruled by the minority!

01:40:11
States rights in Washington might protect us from some national fascism....

01:40:20
@Arnold Socialism definitely makes sense though there is the branding issue...

01:41:55
But, maybe if we had been learning true racial history in our schools all these years (

01:42:31
And now that is in jeopardy (still!),

01:42:46
Agree Barbara, I nstead we were fed a pack of lies!

01:43:34
I grew up in Canada and I knew this democracy cheerleading was a pack of lies but didn't know the full history.

01:44:09
Don't ever give up. Contact Stacy Abram Fair Fight to get involved, Also Eastside Gladiators has lots of activities.

01:44:47
As I've aged, I have come to be in awe of the power of myths and propaganda over truths, facts and data.

01:44:51
John Bonifaz, the 1990s: The Wealth Primary. Money in eelctions, isengranchises all voters who are not wealth

01:44:56
But, we'd be far more aware and 'equal' if all of us had been taught true U.S. history in our schools (I'm a '61 graduate). CRT is a step forward.

01:45:08
@Kathryn & Barbara I feel fortunate I had one or two radical social studies teachers that taught me *some* real history in HS though as someone who regularly sits on interviews panels I see that unless you attend higher ed you may not be exposed to such ideas and TRUTH
