Good point Nicole :)

22:26
I think we are seeing some of our staff step up to support us as Managers

23:04
Agreed Greg

26:59
so sorry I missed the zoom earlier today - not sure how I missed that email - might there be notes / was the session recorded?

28:01
Yes Anne an email with the recording links will go out later today

28:18
Thanks Cameron

29:07
daily 15 min zoom in the morning for 15 min - we call it a coffee catch up and ANY staff member can drop in we also have a an open slack account for chats. lots of communication not always about work

29:24
I have used a more solutions focused approach and Flipping the switch. Trying to link other strengths of Volunteers/Iniatives and implimenting a new way of delivery in hopes for it to be sustinable in the future. I do weekly email check ins, zoom meetings and phone calls.

29:37
We have set up WhatsApp groups and check in each morning t say hi and share photos . We are also doing a zoom cooking session on Friday

30:13
Love that idea Chris

30:22
great idea!

30:42
we are closer as a team as the socialising has been more organic

32:37
One size does not fit all, we have staff you are using WhatsApp and moved into Zoom and teams. Ensuring they all are supported in this new world. We are also in for the long haul and I agree routine is so important. We have gone from initial reative behaviour to planning and moving forward

32:53
love the daily coffee catch up idea thanks Ramona

33:42
We are very busy - staff are working from home but we have worked in the Cloud (Suite) for years now so no adjustment needed there. We catch up for a weekly risk team meeting on Zoom. Duties are redistributed and it is understood that it’s all a learning curve. We text and email and phone call whatever’s appropriate. Adjusting f2f delivery to online delivery of program is a learning curve we are starting on and some advice and instructions would be appreciated with this.

33:50
has anyone used cisco webex????

33:52
My volunteers are all at such different levels when it comes to media platforms. Many are not comfortable with using them so I am struggling with how to maintain communication with them all! I am using phone, text, emails and facebook. I am excited to learn about and use more platforms so all suggestions are helpful ATM.

34:59
My son is using webex for school

35:02
School for my child is using webex. found it more cluncky personally

35:06
Seems to be working fine

35:08
My ChildCare Staff are probably feeling the most pressure. They can't work from home and they are incredibly frustrated. They have very limited knowledge of tech so I am still popping into the office to check on them and make sure they are ok

35:46
GSuite - sorry autocorrect

35:49
my kid is using for her school class

35:59
just a general question I used it in my last job and unsure to use that or zoom??

36:15
My wife works for the Red Cross and uses Webex and It seems to fail pretty much all the time from home.

36:31

36:49
I used webex for a french conversation class that I am involved with and it worked really well. Same as zoom.

37:55
I am in the same position. Two of my volunteers do not read or write let alone do social media

38:06
for non tech volunteers we are litererally phoning them on the days that would normally come in to say hi - for others we have a newsletter in Office360

39:14
We are using Google hangouts and google meets. Google gave us access to their Enterprise edition for free because we use G Suite

39:19
That's okay if they have a plan with data.

39:34
We are doing phone calls to volunteers as well

40:00
Many of our volunteers do not have the skills so we are using text messages

40:50
That warms my heart!

41:15
We are using Zoom, doing a lot on Facebook, just started using YouTube as well, sending regular emails and making lots of phone calls

41:35
Learning everyday :)

41:35
for our acfe students we are going to offer laptop/dongle with data so they can participate

41:44
Some of our people are reluctant because they are frightened about security issues. They flat out refuse to do any thing because they are scared of their personal info being compomised.

42:24
That's awesome Alison

42:27
Leahn Bulmer we are the same, my older participants are truly terrified of tech!

42:29
A lot of our volunteers use facebook, so we have started a new group attached to our facebook page and this has been a great way to share and connect in a way that isn't asking more or development of new IT knowledge or skills

42:59
Great idea Emily

43:07
be great to be able to continue to offer online options beyond this current crisis

43:17
I have the same issue with some committee members and many participants and volunteers having very limited IT skills. I would like some very simple training in how to help tutors deliver online. Be Connected resources are not great as they are text based and people don’t like using them

43:29
FB works well for us as well Emily, people can look at the posts in their own time and comments without feeling they missed out. We can also pin important info for future reference.

46:13
I have an active Facebook page but many of our FB members are not our usual cohort of participants so the group we want to assist most are not on Facebook and either do not use IT or have extremely limited ability, interest and willingness to use IT.

47:59
Having said that - staff contact these people regularly by phone and we have a list of vulnerable persons to contact. We are also in the process of setting up an exercise class on Zoom.

49:42
Julie, we have a craft/activities group of older ladies who are on messenger only, not Facebook. It started with one of them taking the lead and supporting the others. Now they post up to 20 times and day supporting each other and posting pics of knitting and creations.

51:26
we are calling approx 50 people every week to do welfare checks... They need to chat and vent so it takes time. These are participants, some are volunteers too.

52:36
Recommend this site as support and training for basic new IT skills

54:43
What are Centre's using for their teams to share document filing, usage, storage etc (server vs cloud - google, 365 etc)?

54:54
Donna - that’s really lovely :) Our CC ladies are mostly not at all able to use any IT. We phone them and do any necessary ‘wool drops’ :)
