Andre Stackhouse
35:40
Hello Congressmember! My name is Andre and I'm a constituent, healthcare activist, and a member of many community organizations pushing for Medicare for All everywhere. Thank you for your leadership on HR.1976 Medicare for All and for fighting to expand Medicare both in terms of "what" and "who" is covered.Since so many of those provisions were unfortunately not in the version of Build Back Better that passed the House, do you support the implementation of Medicare for All statewide in Washington which would cover all of your constituent as well as the undocumented and homeless in our state - and would you come to a public meeting to meet with me and my community to discuss what we can do?
Timothy Wheeler
35:43
How do you suggest we fight for the changes? Build Back and for voting right? It seems like the Republicans have succeeded in stalemating us on this urgent agenda.

+1 for two track strategy! For example, we can fight to expand Medicare federally while working to pass statewide M4A in Washington.

Apologies - is the chat not for discussion? I was just trying to talk/discuss with other folks on the call. It was not intended as an additional question. I submitted my question in the Q&A section.

"A righteous fight" -- perhaps we should all pull together, all of our disparate organizations, and make the "righteous fight" a little louder. To best support Pramila :)

I went to a webinar with Leah and Ezra at National Indivisible yesterday. They said they are not done fighting and will be working hard on getting BBB passed for the next few months, and not break it up (same reason Pramila just gave). Sign their pledge to Give No Ground which, among other things, will champion progressive candidates.

Speaking of things being done about Senator Manchin, another MoveOn assisted project was to select comments from West Virginian Democrats telling Manchin about their needs and their unhappiness with his actions. These will be used in various political settings and in the media.
