I want to ask more about criteria for CI - and how much weight is placed on a patient's speech discriminiation? My speech discrimination on my "bad" ear is good with a hearing aid, but it is drifting more and more into "profound" loss

How about the benefit for someone who has had severe hearing loss in higher frequencies for 60 years, but has had fairly good results with hearing aids for 40 years.
