Andrew, I think there's some serious re-education that needs to happen in some form--to get the idea across that there is actually "truth" and it is discernible from "falsehood"--some way to appeal to those gullible folks who actually thought T**** was actually "for" them. Billboards? Tweets? Voices that were once part of the "fake news" party who can speak in a language that can be heard/understood? To simply say, "Now we're a nation united" and "unity is the way ahead" will not reach that half of our population that still believes the election was "stolen"--maybe we can all figure ways to contribute to trying to diminish the polarization.
Judith Adams
19:55
Yes I agree we need to figure something out
Ed O'Malley (he, him)
20:28
Yes David, riding off into the sunset...

I just saw this quote and thought it was very useful. “It’s vital to remember that Trump is not the cause of racism, inequality or abusive capitalism, he’s the inevitable, oppressive result of them. He’s a megaphone. You can turn the megaphone off, but all three of those problems will still exist tomorrow. So please keep fighting”. From @jessemechanic
Ed O'Malley (he, him)
23:40
with the megaphone off we can be heard more clearly...
Leah Rutchick
24:18
sorry but I have to take some fancy pastries out of the oven :) back soon

Check out Loretta Ross-- she advocates Calling In the Calling Out Culture. It's not turning way from holding people accountable … however doing it with grace and without calling out.
Michele Tanaka
26:09
Thanks. Will do

Q to Andrew: It appears to me that politically people are thinking America has awakened from a nightmare, but that in actuality America is confused in overly celebrating just changing from a boiling nightmare and going into a simmering nightmare. All samsara. And not even complete enough “solutions” to problems to actually bring sufficient change to avert catastrophe. Such as the climate emergency and epic inequity and continuing exhaustion of earth’s resources needed for the status quo.
eileen cahoon
27:37

David Wimberly
01:10:08
I gave a public talk on that subject.
Michele Tanaka
01:10:10
Thanks Barbara - yes, I agree that we need to go down in the basement and see the damage. For me, my practice really helps give me the courage and clarity to do that. And being ok with not knowing. Not fixing. Just trying to understand what might be true for another person. And letting that change my set patterns of who I am and what needs to be on a subtle, felt, and often emotional level
Karen Roper
01:10:45
“Intervention” was lots of hard work by Stacy Abrahams

Exactly, Karen!

01:12:32
yes I agree she is incredible and worked so hard but I still wonder whether those who have passed over have any interest in what happens in the world and whether the more evolved actually can influence the events of the world.?

Andrew, for economic reasons I have the free membership to Night Club, for which I am deeply grateful. How do I find what are the limitations of that membership? And perhaps more about other levels of membership?

Andy,Enclosed is a link to a recording of a lecture on Jung and Mob Psychology given at the Salome Institute in Portland, Oregon on after the mob insurrection in Washingto DC on Zoom with over 300 in attendance from all over the word. Great insights that clarify much and as relevant now as when you first written by Jung in the late 30”s. Please give to Andrew.https://salomeinstitute.com/watch?ss_source=sscampaigns&ss_campaign_id=6004b01504c98c4419c543fb&ss_email_id=6004be7a9459bf0a1512e725&ss_campaign_name=Recording%3A+Exploring+Jung%E2%80%99s+Thoughts+on+Mob+Mentality&ss_campaign_sent_date=2021-01-17T22%3A47%3A26Z

I'm glad you did that David. Looks interesting
Carina Notivoli

I relate so much on what you are saying here. I have found out that my silent quality was a real quality until one day it was not anymore. And discerning when is time for what is not always easy. And there will be a lot of opportunities for failure in both doctrines. Silence and speaking out. Action or passivity. Patience or showing disagreement.
Michele Tanaka
01:34:22
Thanks Katy. Wow. So grateful for this conversation and peoples willingness to have it. Looking forward to continuing next week.

I heard on a show The Hill - Rising today that one or two of people in the insurrection were formerly passionate Obama voters. For me, this points to the scope and scale of the loss of/ striving for fulfillment, meaning, purpose and connection. It is ultimately a false path but it can create great harms.
