I agree with the extolling of Alicia. Mazal tov is not strong enough. I also want to thank Erica Peresman for her years of leadership and dedication to this organization. Most recently, she has been the JCRC/AJC treasurer. She leads by example with poise, clarity, patience, care, and immense knowledge. We wish her well and know that she will continue being a superb advocate in all of her professional, communal, and personal endeavors. Thank you, Erica!

How should the economic problem be solved? I understand those who protest because of the economic desperation. But why can't the federal government do more to help? Expand SNAP benefits, more help to businesses. Interest rates are near zero so the government debt is cheap. How do we help the people who can't work from home without endangering their health and ours? The big danger is those who are asymptomatic who unknowingly spread the virus.
Alicia Chandler
01:45:00
Thank you so much to Stu and Noah for being here and demonstrating having civil political discourse. I am frequently disappointed when individuals resort to pettiness and name-calling. How can we better teach the community to engage in the empathy that Stu is talking about?
Alicia Chandler
01:52:08
Thank you Stu. As a member of a mixed-party marriage, I agree that everyone should talk to people that disagree with them politically.
David Kurzmann
01:52:53
Bipartisanship has been critical to maintaining and strengthening U.S. support for Israel. Unfortunately we’ve seen concerning developments in recent years that appear to undermine these efforts. What do you think about this dynamic? Is bipartisanship still the best way to advance the U.S./Israel bond?
Syma Echeandia
02:00:10
I you don’t support Bibi you are no more anti-Israel than if you don’t support Trump makes you anti-American!

Thank you both for speaking with us. You both mentioned that there is largely agreement on most issues involving Covid-19. 86% agree with "stay at home" orders. 85% oppose reopening schools. 93% are trying to maintain social distancing. 89% say fair elections are important to democracy. I don't have the numbers imagine agreement is over 90% on concern over the economy. Can we harness this high agreement on the most important issues--and can Jews play a role in this--in bringing people back together again?*(I'm taking these numbers from Huffpost's polling editor Ariel Edwards-Levy**, via the webcomi XKCD)**(Levy...)
Alicia Chandler
02:03:03
Seth F. - Thanks for sharing those numbers. Very reassuring.
