This relates to the presentation before the break. It bothers me that rangeland is prioritized above watershed health in many of these projects. I also object to the removal of mature pinyon and alligator bark junipers, especially using herbicides, to enhance rangeland conditions.

Thanks for the comment, Susan. I will pass to the facilitator of the last session. I understand your concerns and think that rangeland health and watershed health are not mutually exclusive and that through well planned, collaborative treatments, particularly through RX fire, we can work towards improvements in water quality and quantity and range conditions.

Is there an opportunity with PODs to inform or assist in community wildfire planning, specifically enhancing CWPPs? Thinking of the stakeholders also you have engaged and wondering whether they are active in CWPP development.

Thank you, Teresa. I will relay your question

Relating to other mapping efforts and planning such as with Watershed Based plans for water quality or other vegetation landscape level management approaches : How do these PODs align, overlap or conflict with these efforts, and how can they be integrated for multiple use management approaches? Thanks.

(As SWCDs are ultimately collaborative - how can this inform other planning efforts for enhanced approach and agreement across landscapes)

Are PODs being also used in prescribed fire implementation?
