Please know that RPD was well aware that the city was under threat by outside infiltrators or disruptors. Advocate and State Racial Equity Board Member, Kerwin Pittman was notified by Liaison Michael Ballen earlier that morning. Not sure why adequate coverage was not provided. Also, please find out for public safety issues, whether the officer who stated that he enjoyed running down protestors is still an employee of Raleigh Police Department and when were they were released. I am in great hopes that you will look deeper into the practices and actions of RPD that go beyond these open protest. As a citizen and advocate, we will formerly respond in writing to the city's report.
