Great chart. How do I save this?
Jennifer it’ll be on website , and maybe you could take a picture of that screen? Bet Lynn and sue will know.
What about container gardening - is mulch needed?
I have a vole problem. Any ideas to get rid of them.?
what do you do with bulb flowers in containers after they have bloomed?
I have a lot of hostas and the rabbits eat them like salad. Will planting rosemary near the hostas deter them? Any other suggestions?
I love the look of the "mixed up" garden you showed. How to pick the plants and order so not overcrowded and heights work, especially on a sloped somewhat sloped area?
Regarding new tree balls is it a good idea to soak the ball before planting? Also you don't want the tree to be straight up like a telephone pole, better to have a bit of a flare so that you don't get root strangulation.
How much should hydrangeas be pruned in the winter/early spring?
Re: knockout roses... we moved from Texas, where these were developed. We had many, but after a few years, they mutated and how lots of thorns... some kind of virus? do you see that here?
I live in an area with rabbits, turkeys and deer. what can I plant on my very sunny slopes that they will not eat. i have some azaleas that deer seem to like, how can I keep them away?
do you need to remove bulbs during the summer here?
Is an "annual" plant just good for the season and they just die in the winter and doesn't re-grow?
I have lots of mossy areas. What’s best to do about fertilizers for the small areas I have added soil to? When is best to use water soluble fertilizers?
Is butterfly bush bad for butterflies? I heard something to the effect that the nectar isn't good for the growing larvae?
I thought I had a vole problem, used everything. Turned out it was a mole problem.
Can you thin out or transplant irises? We just moved into a house and the irises seem to be taking over.
Thank you so much! I have to run. Good bye all.
Rabbits like Green and Gold too!
Yes, regarding the tree flare statement, we were taught that you should have a bit of a root flare at the base. I agree with your staking statements. thanks,
Unfortunately I have another appointment -- thanks for a very helpful presentation, Patricia! We are building a new home in N. AVL so it was great hearing about options for our new yard!
really enjoyed this. thank you. Hopefully, we can do some field trips to gardens and garden centers.
Looking forward to seeing Patricia’s garden!
Thanks so much Patricia. Very interesting and informative. fun
thank you all, gotta run now.
