I am distressed to hear Mar say 100% home ownership is ideal. I don’t think home ownership is right for everyone. I rent my home and I like that.

Rondo was a Black neighborhood decades ago.
Dayna Norvold
01:10:50
I heard her to say that all people should have the OPPORTUNITY to choose between owning and renting. However, many minorities don't have that option.
Orick Peterson
01:11:43
Yes, right. I know that. And we need to cure that problem for sure. But I think affordable rentals are VERY Important too.

We should create some type of “anti-racism” certificate that stores/restaurant can earn by management training, staff training, and then this group can publish the list of organizations who are certified anti-racist.
Dorothea Hrossowyc
01:39:45
There are a couple of suggestions in the chat about possibilities of shifting the racism in businesses or stores. Maybe we all could think about possible suggestions and come up with the best ones…like maybe we could sponsor an ad in the newspaper inviting stores and businesses to be conscious of discrimination and conscious of micro aggressions to create the city we want to be proud of
