@kitty.....I hear you on that one. I got my one does vaccine this past Monday and after the almost 2 hour drive to the speedway, I needed to go home and take a nap and the next day I couldn't even function my head hurt so bad. Today is the first day that my headache has passed. I have staff that are booking appointments and I just don't know how to facilitate my staff leaving at various times for their vaccines as well as the drive time to get to the sites. We are already short staffed now having to add this to the list is making my head spin. I wish they could just mass vaccinate on a Saturday for all providers.

The tuition assistance is a great program to qualify people to become child care workers. Recently, the courses fill up fast, tuition assistance has no funds left and prospective child care workers are not able to access the training.

Yes yes yes to MomsRising! Having the business partners as part of the workforce is also so important. I really still think it will take the voices of families and businesses to make the strong case to our governor and administration.
Teri Ann
34:59
Agree with Linda. Coverage for staff to go get vaccinated and to cover likely sick day following is possibly going to lead to us have to close a classroom early or for some single days between now and end of April. So hope and excitement is tempered by those who are stressed doing the scheduling/staffing.

Imprints Day School

One question I have is why Licensing didn’t create closed pods for their day care facilities? After reaching out to several parties (North Hampton Fire Department, Hampton Fire Department, SAU 21, SAU 19, Seacoast Public Health Network), they all told me they couldn’t help us out. We asked if we could piggyback on the SAU vaccination clinic that they are already holding on the weekend of March 21st since we serve the children of both Hampton and North Hampton who go to their SAU and the response was they didn’t have enough resources or personnel to help us out. Since we aren’t part of the SAU, why didn’t licensing or the child development bureau support us in creating closed pods? I feel very upset and frustrated that not only Imprints was forgotten, but all of the other local daycares in the area. We were urged to stay open during this whole time, and we also were asked to take on these school aged children when the schools couldn’t figure out how to open. Here we are and we’ve been forgotten.
Imprints Day School
01:03:04
Why didn’t the state step up to help us out? Where is our closed POD?
Kitty LaRochelle
01:04:19
There are no accommodations for us! Individual spots put is further in a staffing crisis!!
Melissa
01:04:21
I agree!!
Seana
01:04:29
Can staff who are not NH residents get vaccinated under Phase 2A?
liz
01:04:30
So for those having your staff in the "pod" you reached out to your local school district?
Linda Mencis
01:04:38
What is a pod? Do we create a pod? Where is our Public Health Network in Southern NH?
Lorraine Greer
01:04:39
I'll reiterate that Sunrise is working for Nashua Public Health and our agency SAU members to be a POD for our area.
Carol Yeaton
01:04:54
Am I responsible, as the employer, to set up appointments for all my staff? I'm confused.
Danielle Belliveau
01:04:59
The superintendent of our SAU (4) reached out to us directly.
Linda Mencis
01:05:45
Should we contact the local school district?
Kimberly McKenney
01:05:59

Kimberly McKenney
01:06:41
Manchester School District is only doing their employees
Kathy Belanger
01:06:52
I reached out to SAU (55) and we are not included. It was not opened to "partners and affiliates" of the district. Very frustrating, considering we opened a classroom for virtual learning in 2 days and are a before and after school program.
Imprints Day School
01:06:59
Seacoast Public Health Network said they wouldn't help with child care facilities
Imprints Day School
01:07:21
I wish DHHS would have advocated for us
Kathy Belanger
01:07:23
Why didn't CCLU do a pod for childcare
Pam Meaney, Tollhouse Preschool
01:07:34
That is definitely how it feels!
Linda Mencis
01:07:52
CCLU creating a pod for childcare is a great idea!
director
01:07:52
Why can't NH does what Mass is doing for teachers they are setting aside 4 Saturdays dedicated to teachers
Ann McNamara
01:08:10
I am in agreement with the note from Imprints Day School! Taking teachers from classrooms one at a time to sign up and then be vaccinated is a logistical challenge. We are thrilled that public school teachers are being taken care of but concerned that childcare was not given the same considerations. Childcare centers are willing to work together and have the larger numbers.
Kim McCormick
01:09:31
So there is a rule that the SAU PODS CAN’T allow childcare facilities in their SAU to join their pod?
Lorraine Greer
01:09:50
It depends on volume and capacity
Danielle Belliveau
01:09:51
We are being included
Lisa Ranfos (she/her)
01:10:03
thank you Kelly
Kitty LaRochelle
01:10:32
We will have to close for days to accomplish vaccinations!!
Carol Stone
01:10:36
I contacted school district and they said that I could not register through them
Kimberly McKenney
01:11:44
Lynn will you tell staff no to appointments that do not work?
Jane Marquis
01:12:21
Good question, Kim - also, each staff member needs to use their own e-mail address
Judy
01:12:22
could public health set up a Saturday location in each county for ec educators?
Lynn Ouellette
01:12:49
We willhave them do it with one of us present and by writing down their appointments we can coordinate and schedule with flexibility.
Linda Mencis
01:12:50
Over 300 child care programs in NH is a large impact. Setting up pods in 4-6 pods in the state might have been doable.
Jackie Cowell, Early Learning NH
01:12:51
oooo, interesting idea Judy about setting up a Saturday child care location! We will suggest it to DHHS leadership.
Carol Yeaton
01:13:06
So people have been going back and forth with information. Can you please clarify as to how we are suppose to get vaccinations completed for our industry.
Kimberly McKenney
01:14:03
Mimi are you vaccinated staff across pods?
Donna
01:14:10
We were called yesterday by a small local hospital who had extra vaccines and we are getting vaccinated next week. I think these large pods may call local preschools once they are done with their own staff and welcome us to join their group.
Ann Davison
01:15:09
Does anyone know what time on Monday registration will be available?
Kathy Belanger
01:15:25
What is the link to register?
msalo
01:15:30
