No Q&A? Would like Chief to commit to:1. Annual meeting with Public, NLT 1 Apr2. Annual release of Crime Statistics, NLT 1 Apr

25:30
PLease wait for the Q an A when we have the chief again in a following meeting.

25:50
This is an introductory meeting. Thank You John for your understanding

29:45
As someone who was violently attacked by a vagrant lady at the end of March, in Santa Monica, and nothing was done, the contradictions in this message are not in alignment. Chief-I very, very much welcome a candid conversation.

31:17
I would like to learn about a follow up from the Chief’s office.

39:46
Call SMPD Dispatch directly 310-458-8491

40:02
Thanks Chief for the insight into how to describe what's going on when we call the police. That is very helpful. Would like more thoughts on this in future meetings.

41:23
Joe-that’s doesn’t help/work. Based on my own experience. And Karen-this isn’t a true depiction of the SMPD

44:51
How concerned are you about the low vaccination rate among your officers?

45:19
And lack of mask wearing when interacting with the public?

45:49
How about the residential crime and escalation in violence in our neighborhoods?

48:02
Where are the traffic police enforcement?

48:10
Dear Rachel, I would certainly like to assist in getting you to the right person. If you would like to email me , please do so with this email. manju.raman@icloud.com

48:36
Thank you Chief.

48:51
Thank you Suzie and team!

48:52
St. Monica stop signs constantly being run through… just saying!!!

50:10
Alissa, you should call Brian!

50:35
Rachel, please contact me so that I can look up your incident and do some follow up work on your behalf. I am the Crime Prevention Coordinator for your area. suzie.lockwood@santamonica.gov

51:09
Thank You everyone.

51:15
Thank You Suzie!!

01:21:17
I think Phil's idea of getting 2 more homeless team members out on nights and weekends is a really good idea!

01:25:09
What is the ordinance regarding the proposed medical cannabin shop on 14th and Wilshire, within a BLOCK of Lincoln Middle School? And why is there no signage so the community can voice their opposition?

01:26:54
For Phil: The Oceana Hotel at 851 Ocean Avenue has been a terrible neighbor for years. Now, they are applying to expand their services by applying for a CUP in order to open their restaurant to the public, which would wreak havoc on its neighbors in Wilmont. How do you feel about their plans? Are you open to hearing from us about how they regularly disturb our reasonable expectation of peace and quiet?

01:34:27
Do you walk here at 5am while they are receiving deliveries?

01:35:55
Thank you Kirby

01:36:13
I reported them to the police YESTERDAY for receiving an illegal delivery.

01:38:36
There was also a sign on a vacant storefront at 1416 Wilshire. I have a photo of the proposed permit notice before it was taken down. I have no problem only that it is so close to a school.

01:40:07
Glad to see a business that will help people that are suffering come to Santa Monica.

01:40:15
Thank you Zachery for clarifying.

01:40:57
It's better than having a vacant storefront like we have now.

01:44:22
There's already a liquor store across the street. The pot folks won't increase crime.

01:49:03
Well done EV and all!

01:50:09
Great work EVD!
