We all need to hear this - counselor educators, students, practitioners! Our training models need major transformation. They need to be deconstructed.

We as clinicians have to do the work, we have to be trained clinically, we have to be trained as advocates and we must apply and practice this training with purpose, intentionality, humanity and respect.

There also needs to be an effort by providers to connect and UPLIFT our community. Not just attending a 2 hour CEU training once a year on work hours. Trainings on the transgender and gender diverse community need to center anti-racism, or they do not serve the needs of the community.
