In my experience, if you leave insurance to hunters, they very often don't purchase it and then I'm not covered as a landowner.

Terri Bates

As landowner we purchase insurance and require hunt club to reimburse us.
CW Lewis
48:45
What about accommodations for multiple over night stays? What is minimum/average acreage for leasing?
Heather Brasell
52:11
What kind of turnover do you have? If you have high rates for lease, it seems likely that you'd have higher turnover and more harvesting for short-term rather than long-term stewardship.
Heather Brasell
53:19
What rate of acres per hunter do you recommend for sustainable hunting?
Heather Brasell
55:11
You said there is no fee for landowners. How do you make money? Commission or application fee from the hunters?
CW Lewis
55:17
On intake/welcoming does the landowner have to be on site or is someone from HLRBO there?
Terri Bates
55:54
What did you say the average per acre rate was In GA? We lease to a club in southeast GA and although other landowners tiptoe around rates and what I think you said was VERY high for what I think the going rates are in our area. Our goal has been to cover our property taxes and some.
Heather Brasell
57:46
I used the calculator and it gave $60/acre for 100 acres. These rates seem VERY high.Typical rates that I've heard in my region are less than $15/acre.
Stephanie Pfeiffer
01:02:23
What are the expectations for having multiple hunters on your property? is it typical to share the area or do most want it to be only one hunter using it at one time?
Heather Brasell
01:03:43
Recommended rates for sustainable hunting is no more than 1 hunter per 100 acres. This is for annual leases by clubs.
CW Lewis
01:03:49
Danielle, can you discuss integrating a year lease and the impact/integration into or on the forest management plan and its stages.
CW Lewis
01:08:13
Great! Thanks!
Stephanie Pfeiffer
01:10:52
is it typical for the landowner to meet with the hunters in person before and after their rental time?
Heather Brasell
01:11:46
What do you suggest about gutting in the field etc?
Heather Brasell
01:12:17
Disposal of guts and skin - field dressing
Heather Brasell
