Amy Harris
26:09
@ Ron J: If you application is approved, you know you did it correctly. If we have questions, we will contact you during our review of your application.
Amy Harris
26:49

To be able to use funds, do we have to have spent the money already and be reimbursed or can we use the funds to purchase items ?
Amy Harris
32:14
The options are to request reimbursement for expenditures already spent, request reimbursement for future expenditures or the SEA would directly pay for goods or services.
Romie
32:43
thank you :)
Kay Nichols
32:43
can you speak to what kind of expenses can be submitted for initiating and support services or assistance for learning loss.
Wentina Hurtado
35:08
we have a parent organization/name. do we need to have a separate state vendor ID and DUNS no?

35:24
I am at a school with three campuses. I submitted phase one information for the entire school, not by campus. Was that a mistake?

Dan Anderson
37:58
Would there be reimbursement for long-term substitutes needed since September 2020 if used to split classes because of social distancing?

How do we connect or contract with SEA?
Kris Peugh
39:27
Can you clarify the use of this money to upgrade air filtration systems such as HVAC and/or portable air filter devices?
Gene Heinrich
39:56
If I understand the FAQ on EANS funds can not be requested to offset any salaries of individuals on our current or future payroll, even if they were hired to help mitigate learning loss. Is that correct? That would mean any staffing needed to mitigate learning loss would need to be provided by independent contractors or employees of our local school district. Correct?
Craig Mattson
40:21
Can you speak to how the technology reimbursements will be handled? Specifically, if computers are reimbursed, will they become the property of the state?
Laird Leavitt
40:25
With questions about acceptable use of funds still outstanding. Would a change in the due date to a later date be prudent.
Christina Denison
40:30
Yes, please clarify the use of money to improve the air system.
Christina Alton
40:39
Same question as Asia Adam - when it says in page 3 of the iGrant application, "SEA to provide or contract for services," how do we do this and how do we know how much to budget?
Anna Horton
40:50
Regarding support to prevent learning loss- many schools added staffing/reallocated staffing to bring students back for in person learning to address/prevent more learning loss. It sounds like you don't have an answer on this- but this would be a huge help in terms of supporting expenses incurred.
Laird Leavitt
41:25
In other words…I don’t want to move forward with the application until these questions are answered because I might choose to do something different depending on the answers to these questions.

It sounds like page2 & 3 of the iGrant (“Activity & Budget Plan” + three “tables”) has some ability to be modified later… Can you clarify how solid we need to be with our $$’s at the April 30th deadline and how much flexibility remains in the grant lifetime?

Someone asked about portable classrooms, but you mentioned that rented space (for the 2020/2021 school year and possibly longer) is allowed? Just wanted to validate my understanding.
Wanda Stewart

Romie
01:00:50
Would it best to provide a budget with expenses to be reimbursed rather than trying to contract with SEA? We need to purchase iPads for our students and would like to know the best route for approval.
Danielle Benge
01:00:52
Looking to next school, we will need to purchase more desks and other items in order to follow health and safety protocol. As I understand everything, there is no guarantee that our purchases will be reimbursed/allowed, even if it seems to fit the federal stipulations. Am I understanding this correctly?
Susan Webster
01:01:06
I did not have to "improve" a ventilation system, but I had to add an HVAC system to a classroom that previously only had windows for ventilation. Can I be reimubursed for the new HVAC system?
Laird Leavitt
01:03:11
RE: Susan…and will OSPI be picking up the HVAC system after funding timeline is completed?
Romie
01:09:13
