Working in a country outside Europe I am more than impressed by the shown infrastructure. I hear that Instruct-ERIC was limited member countries. My question is how could we acmes the infrastructure network and the financing for research projects.

Any researcher can apply to access our research infrastructure at Instruct Centres - if the researcher is from an Instruct member country or EMBL, Instruct will fund the agreed work. If this is not the case, the Instruct facilities can still be accessed for a fee. If you are interested in joining Instruct as a member, we currently can only accept European member states and Associate Countries or intergovernmental organisations as members of Instruct-ERIC. Please contact me directly on admin@instruct-eric.org for more information on the process for this.

Thank you Susan! Very helpful. I am Swedish though working with Biodiversity in Argentina in small province that has 52% of the country’s Biodiversity. We are a very institution in a financially limited environment.

Since we may not have time to get in details of contributions from other ERICs, attached is my presentation.

Thank you for the presentations. One pressing issue of the 2021-2022 COP15 of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity - which will adopt the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework - is science and technology capacity building as a contributor to sharing benefits arising from bio R&D, biotech and biodata. Are research infrastructures preparing to address the issue and contribute?
