Please discuss whether DDOT has reached out via the new administration’s State Department to seek right of way from the affected embassies?

Can DDOT explain why it has not decided to provide a bike lane on any portion of the 1.5 mile length, even where there is plenty of room for it. This gives at least some indication that bikes belong on this road. Not just north of 27th street (where a multi-use trail is not adequate) but on any portions south of that?

The embassies have no reason to give up their land. Next to no pressure has been placed on cutting vehicle use. And no consideration of visual assets and visual quality ever comes into play.

That information is not appearing in the chat I’m seeing.

Noting that the multiuse trail is of little value because no inexperienced riders will ride south of 27th. A trail to nowhere. Also, please respond to the question about bike lanes on portions south of 27th where there is room.

So unless one actually lives on Broad Branch, the road will basically be inaccessible to everyone else for two years?

What about finishing Wise Road for more access? IS that scheduled?

Will the walkway to be continuous from 27th to Beach?
